Semi-WAN network thingy

I have a chunky server as some of you know, and speaking with the neighbours yesterday i think it would be kind to share some of my stuff to them.

So, running a network cable over the wall isnt a problem, but i dont really want them to be just "on our network" as they would be theiving our preccious broadband, and how the IP address and stuff would work i dont know.
So, how can i give them read only access to my server, but not have them on the network?
Anyone done anything similar?

PS server is running windows server '03.
And it can have more than one network card if maybe that is the way to do it?

this is probably the most sensible way

Set it up with a private network address different from the other NIC and that should be fine, assuming the OS doesn't do any kind of routing, I don't know enough about windows server software.

also, this should be obvious, but make sure the permissions are set to only allow them read access to anything they could possibly get to.
