Hmm, indeed.

This is only part 2 of 3, right - or did I miss one?

I know it's more than just the Hobbit book in there, but I got dreadful bored watching the first one with how long the story was taking to happen.

Bluray box set please, I'll wear my special hobbit pants and pull an all-nighter.

I'm not that hugely excited about it, the first one was way too fucking long. Also legolas can get to fuck, no one liked him in lord of the rings so why is he in this? I really don't see the purpose.

I watched the trailer yesterday and was struggling to tally the things that happen there with what happens in the book and it's less than a year since I read it

I doubt there's much there that's recognisable as being from the book.

The first one was a good visual treat in the cinema, with the impressive set pieces, 48fps and even the 3D was okay. But it was overly long and the story not so great. If this is the same I'm happy to pay to see it at the cinema.

I think calling it dumb implies it might be fun. That just looks crap.

It does indeed.

Godzilla looks good though, as far as the teaser shows. (Another link as the other seems to be taken down now)

I was looking at that with the sound muted whilst listening to this. It matches up pretty well.

That looks like it could be worth a watch at the cinema.
I get a bit of a the Tropic Thunder vibe where it's not taking itself too seriously.

That looks awesome, but I suspect that was all the action.

A couple of previews I've come accross have said it's rather good, with the occasional splattering of Oscar-worthy for Bullock's performance.

Might have to watch it.
