Re: Movie Trailers
Looks like a good movie.
Not exactly what the guy in the book is like, he is a middle aged, grumpy, violent thoroughly unpleasant cupcake. You hate him from the first paragraph to the last sentance. Not cuddly lovely James McAvoy, but I think it seems to work with the pace/style of the movie.

Re: Movie Trailers
Thor looks a bit less "God of Thunder" and a bit more "Australian surfer, mate". other than that, looks pretty good.

I haven't watched Jackass or any of their related stuff since I was a teenager, however the pagent scene in this did make me expel coffee through my nose.

I have to see that.

RoboCop

Doesn't look as bad as I expected, but still a pretty pointless remake. Also the trailer has most of the story, as per usual.

Re: Movie Trailers
I do not like that at all.
If you really want an updated robocop you could just watch Dredd, it's very similar (and similarly good).

Re: Movie Trailers
Yeah, im not hugely interested in this either. It looks like it might be a bit like the recent Total Recall reboot: flashy and shiny and completely missing the point of the original.Mr. Johnson wrote:I do not like that at all.![]()

Re: Movie Trailers
They attached some decent actors to try to give it some credibility.
I won't be buying that for a dollar.

I'll watch it, enjoy it and forget about it.
Re: Movie Trailers
Well, obviously I'll watch it. You can't very well moan about how bad it is without watching it.HereComesPete wrote:I'll watch it, enjoy it and forget about it.

Re: Movie Trailers
Doesn't look as dystopian as the original, but it's only a short trailer, so there's still hope it might be decent.
Although the "4th degree burns" line doesn't fill me with hope, as it's just such a stupid line.

Well 4th degree burns are the worst kind you would ever expect to survive so I would expect them to pick those. He wouldn't need a robot body for a bit of sunburn...

I'm just going to wear skin suits made from old rich American ladies, they look like smooth brown leather so I imagine them to be comfy with little work.Roman Totale wrote:That's what Buzz is hoping for - robosuits for all pasty gingers.HereComesPete wrote:Well 4th degree burns are the worst kind you would ever expect to survive so I would expect them to pick those. Re: Movie Trailers
4th degree burns over 80% of a body pretty much is dead yo, as it's full destruction of tissue to the bone. Dunno about you, but considering his head is pretty much untouched, he shouldn't have *any* flesh left under the mid torso.HereComesPete wrote:Well 4th degree burns are the worst kind you would ever expect to survive so I would expect them to pick those. BUT, that's not the point I was making. The point was if they can say something which is obviously stupid due to rule of cool, then it does make me wonder what other things they've put in for "coolness" factor.
