Re: Payday 2
Maaaybe. I had no interest in the first one, but apparently this one is more about planning and undertaking a heist and less about shooting cops. I like the idea of being a specialist safecracker. Is it actually out? Are there any reviews?

Tempting, I've always liked the idea of a more tactical bank robbery type game. Obviously it'll never be arma: the bank job. But could be fun.

Re: Payday 2
^This, but the original was just shooty-shooty pretty much all the way through. It would need to be much more interesting to get my attention this time around. Personally, I would want it to be at least theoretically possible to pull of a job without anyone firing a gun at all, with shootytiems only required when things go pear shaped. I strongly doubt I will get that.Dr. kitteny berk wrote:I've always liked the idea of a more tactical bank robbery type game.

Yeah, it's fun silliness as is, but about as tactical as saints row.

I got the impression that this is exactly what they were aiming for, but whether they hit the mark (or whether my impression was correct) is another matter.Joose wrote:^This, but the original was just shooty-shooty pretty much all the way through. Yeah, I'll wait for a review or two on this.
Has the potential to be interesting, sort of like SWAT4 in reverse, but we shall see.

Reverse? Have you ever played swat with us?
Re: Payday 2
You mean it would end up with us completing the mission in a sensible way and not tazering or kneecapping one another before we've even gone near the objective?buzzmong wrote:sort of like SWAT4 in reverse, but we shall see.

I was thinking SWAT4 in reverse was suddenly being able to see, walk without dead legs or stopping shaking after a huge spike of voltage applied to the back.

TACTICAL DANCE PARTY!!
Re: Payday 2
Preview on PCG. Sounds a lot more tactical than (what I imagine) the first game was, but I'm still concerned over the 'horde mode' cops. I'd have rather a smaller gunfight with more dangerous combat personally. Like SWAT.
Re: Payday 2
I'm sure we can help you out with that Pants

Sooo... this game is -55% at the moment and might warrant a purchase now. Me and Grimmie are interested so if two more people are interested we can get a four pack. Let us know before the offer expires!
