I don't know the legal situation with something like this, but blatant rip-offs like this are not unusual, probably dating back to the advent of film. Another good example I can think of is Transmorphers.

The song is apparently 2020 by Suuns. Better without the vocals.

It appears the company that made this make a living out of blatant rip offs, with such titles as, Snakes on a Train and The Terminators. There is even a name for the movies they make, Mockbusters.

I can't help but think the only market for these are the people who buy them by mistake.

I want to watch it, but I'll think I'll wait for the actual film now. Does it show more of the plot?

The Fifth Estate - Sherlock does a good impression of Julian Assange. This trailer tries to sell the story as an action adventure.

The blonde hair makes him look very weird. So yeah, pretty accurate really.

I have to admit the story when it was in the news rather bored me, so I doubt I'll be rushing to the cinema to see this one - the awesome "you're inside a computer now" glowing text notwithstanding.

I would hate it if they made a film of my life while I was still alive, especially if there were sexy scenes and I didn't get to play myself - although in this case I'm not sure the scenes would be all that sexy.

That still looks like it was taken from A Scanner Darkly, the beard is almost exactly the same. Looks interesting.
