I think it's because despite him being a little bit of a twonk, he normally does speak quite a bit of sense when he's reviewing games.
If you can get past his abrasive style, then his WTF series and his actual reviews are fairly good in my opinion.

For me it's more just that he's just a guy with no better insight than you or I do. I put more stock into what all of you guys say every time. TB is just some wanker from the youtube generation and I could not care less what he thinks about things. He is not a games journalist (or even a "journalist" like the Kotaku and IGN guys), he has no connections or history in the industry, so just because he has a somewhat popular youtube channel does not make him any more relevant than anyone else.

Despite this, I think he does provide a semi-useful service. Like Buzz said his "WTF is ... " aren't bad if you're looking for some info on a game without having to go get it yourself.

I'd go one step further and say he does have pretty good industry and gaming history knowledge.

He is a certified dick though.

But to solve all your problems in this specific case, here's the same video without the interview:

Good call Thompy! I think what winds me up is his hook "The Cynical Brit". Whilst I'm a very cynical person, there's a time and a place for it and it should definitely be reined in when it manifests as dickishness or rudeness. He has an air of entitlement about him which is representative of the state of the world we live in (and why we're pretty fucked as a race). The likes of the Yogscast approach things with humour and respect, much the same as 5punk as a community. there's no (or very little) sense of entitlement about us. We go in, look at stuff, draw a picture of a cock on it and go away much richer for the experience - this is the way it should be.

I haven't heard enough of him (nor particularly wish to) to form much of an opinion, but I do remember him talking about Blizzard's real-money auction house.

He called it pretty much how I saw it - as cashgrab and a tax on gold-farming, but when he went on to declare it "unacceptable", etc, I too got that impression of entitlement which put me off him.

IN SPACE NO ONE CAN HEAR YOU SMASH!

I'm really pleased to see people finally bringing the GW board games to PC (and others). There's a reason Games Workshop are successful, and it's not because they make shitty games, unlike many of the licensed videogames. I hope they carry on into other games in the same vein. Space Hulk, for me, wasn't one of their best. At the time it was a blatant Aliens rip-off, it's far too hard, and it's pretty limited in scope. This looks like a pretty faithful rendition with a couple of tweaks that use the technology of the platform to minor but good effect. The guy playing is shit though, and why the hell Terminators use the god-awful, underpowered, unreliable Storm Bolters is beyond me. I'd buy it, but I wouldn't pay much more than a tenner.

Trailer for Watch Dogs showing a more action side. I'm really looking forward to this one I have to say, I hope it's everything I think it is.

A pretty awesome new Eve trailer, for the recent expo in Iceland:

This and talk of Eve on the Giantbomb podcast is tempting me to give it another go. What with a handy long weekend.

It has come on leaps and bounds in recent times. I'm still finding it enjoyable when I duck in too.

How can you put out a nearly 5 minute trailer for a video game and not have it contain any actual in game footage? Arseholes.

Sweet. I hope that, gameplay wise, it's more like Asylum than City - after completing the latter I never could be bothered to go around the city again collecting things.

This is the first game not done by rocksteady, so I'm curious about it.
