Warframe

Post by Anery »

I have pre-ordered(ish) and I have two spare Beta keys if anyone would like them?

The game is a bit like what ME3 MP would have been like if it was a standalone game - full character progression, campaign paths, comprehensive weapon upgrade system. The gameplay can seem a bit overwhelming at first, the maps seem mazelike until you realise that there is always a pointer on your map. Missions so far have been:

Get in - break stuff
Get in - steal stuff
Get in - kill stuff
Get in - kill one specific target (stuff)

There are also defensive missions but I havn't done them yet

But I'm really shit at telling people what games are like, however I think the following sentence speaks for itself:

You play a space ninja

Gimme a shout I'll PM beta keys.

Looks awesome, but I'm already swamped with games so I'll let someone else test-drive it.

Wonder if they added more. Or are just showing a random number for a laugh.

300ish left on RPS.

Grabbed one as the game is by Digital Extremes, so it might actually be good.

I just had a quick go at the first level with some randoms, I quite liked it.

They just Tweeted that they added a load more. But that's not as funny.

It's just occured to me that War Frame is quite a good name for big stompy mechs, rather than the suit type things that seem to be in this game.

I quite like that. Dumb as a bag of hammers, but enjoyable. I suspect it will have trouble sustaining interest though.

Well, I'd dragged both my Trinity Warframe and my Burston rifle up to level 30 and not really having a clue I polarised my Burston. This reset the level back to 0 but allowed me to polarise one of the upgrade slots.
As a result I have been loading up my lower level warframes recently and having a blast, I have the excalibur prime and the slash dash skill is brilliant when you use it on a pack of enemies - especially corpus in the coridoors. And thanks to the new polarity I was able to slot my maxxed out armour pen upgrade pretty easily.

PCG are giving away starter packs this month, I have a code if anyone wants it?

Also, who else is still playing this? I see Deject play it everynow and then, anyone else? might try and get a 5punky warframe run sorted out.
