So, how's this for a plan

Post by Hehulk »

From when I get up tommorow, I'm going to be hauling cans of fuel from Berta down to our POS system, and hopefully I'll have it all done by 4 pm. Then, when we've got a few more people we'll all grab the POS parts and ship em down there as well, bring the POS up and hopefully (please, dear god...) getting at least a small mining op done. We've got all the POS parts and Fuel down in berta now, so I'd like to finish off this quite tiring weekend off with us achieveing our end goal.

(to quote Ellesar 8)) What say you?

That'd prolly have to be me. since you and friz have blockade runners, and fabs our only major hauling power otherwise, I'll do it in my cloaking deviced fitted hoarder.

Someone else hauling all day until there eyes pop and nose bleeds sounds like a fantastic plan to me. Man but was I getting sick to death of hauling yesterday! :( For those of you who are not aware, here's a little day-in-the-life story of a hauler:
Logged in, waved at Fab  and jumped into the 5punk Hauler, the first in a line of sparkly new Badger 2's built in the cutting edge Hothomouh Factory Complex in recent weeks :w00t: . We zipped up to Rens using the new InstaSpeed System (tm) pioneered by yours truly for the Elgoi-Berta run, and grabbed a load of coolant for the POS. So far so good :ahoy: . Next on the job list was Oxygen. So off I toddled to Domain wherein we had spotted a cheap price for O2 during previous survey trips. The journey there was a steady 22 jumps but that's small fry for hardened haulers like me! Then, 6 jumps out the autopilot lady started whining that there was 0.2 system coming up, on a pipe, and the BYD (Big Yellow Dot) on the map signified impending DEATH  "zOMG" I thought, "better go the long way round!" But that meant another 16 jumps. Not even the dashing and lascivious lezzer bitch alt could save me this time, so I did some nifty map work and turned the nose of the 5punk Hauler towards Kor-Azor Prime. 12 jumps later I'd filled my secure cans full of gas and was on my merry way home :whew: My eyes were sore, my legs cramped and the autopilot bitch was getting really tiresome, but X-5punkers was filling up and so the journey was more bearable. Only three 0.4 systems to jump through and then I was back onto the insta'd route and home! But then a little known Irishman called Murphy suddenly caught up with what I'd been doing and the evil sod just had to go and apply his Law to my beloved 5punk Hauler. I had to go and say it didn't I? "Hey guys, nearly home! Bet I get instapopped at the next gate!"

>.<

Just as I glimpsed the first insta on my system menu, as I was in the very act of engaging warp drive, a Machariel appeared out of nowhere and said in Local simply "Hmmm. Badger." Seconds later...

POP! :x

'Emotional' doesn't even come close to how I felt  . But all's well that ends well. Silver as always was a calming influence and I actually made a profit on the insurance return for the Badger. 5punk Hauler II was soon on her way to get some replacement Oxygen, and in a nifty joint op with the lezzer Manorina, I managed to steel those secure cans back from under the Machariel's nose. Empty, but satisfying nonetheless. "One day soon I will have a Bustard," I promised myself as I closed down for the night. :cheese:
I'll be on just as soon as I get back from work this evening which hopefully won't be too late.

I'll get on as soon as I can this evening, but I should be able to go for a late (or early, depends on your viewpoint) session

But the blockade runner is more likely to survive the turn though!

That's just it. You singular lack of concern made me feel that perhaps it wasn't very important after all :P
