Unsure how the steam client for linux beta is doing but you might want to check on that, they're looking to port some of their most successful stuff across, l4d2 was one of the first iirc and apparently runs very well.

I'm not on Linux but with all the upset around Win 8 I'm interested to hear how you're getting on, especially with the Steam client.

I'd be interested as well, presumably Steam is the most obvious option currently.

Having used Win 8 for a few weeks now, the upset very much appears to have been nerdrage over fuck all.

Yeah it is, and I said as much at launch. There are definitely issues with Win 8, but somemost people are frothing at the mouth for the wrong reasons.

Not on the linux client beta alas. But steam runs fine using WINE - no problems at all. Once the client is released I'll let you all know! :)

As for actual Linux games, well, Xenonauts will be coming out on it, and currently has an official Linux wrapper distribution.

The game's still in development though, so you'll be waiting for a few months unless you want to buy into the alpha (soon to be beta hopefully).
