WoW updates

Post by FatherJack »

Details on updates in patch: http://wow-europe.com/en/info/underdev/ ... d/1p9.html

One thing that looks interesting is the linked auction houses. They had these in FFXI and I could never understand why not in WoW. They now have them in all the major cities now and they are linked with the neutral ones, too. Not likely to tempt back any players on it's own, but there it is - having them linked and at each city should make them busier as a whole, (without having very busy locations) busy auction houses are one of the main reasons players stay on high-population realms and cause all the problems. The addition of a soul shard bag may interest some. Also, I hear Shaman are now completely invulnerable to damage of any kind.

Population seems to be a problem for them - as I logged in (and after a rather lengthy patching procedure) I was told my realm would probably not be available until Thursday morning. This wasn't ideal, as I wanted to have a quick go on Wednesday night, as on Thursday morning I would be at work.

I know they have problems, and have to fix them sometime - and I read that anyone affected is getting some extra days for free - a hell of a lot more generous than certain other game providers are likely to be - it's just rather bad timing on my part.
In the last six months, I've logged in probably three times, maybe four, tops. One of those was last night - another was just after patch 1.8 that was 200-odd MB - another was to be informed there was a huge queue to get onto my realm - so in all I've actually got on twice. In six months. So that's 178 days I've wasted by not playing - suddenly a couple of free days doesn't seem like such a great compensation.

Yes, but we'll have to give offerings to the great god Berk.

Probably not. I think someone was thinking of trying to get WoW running in a similar way to RO. Last that was said about it was that it'd work. I'm sure you stuck a post or two in the thread :?

Although I suspect your posts might have been hinting that Bukkake had enough to do.

i have had a look at such things yes.

the software is undergoing testing in a controlled enviroment, and is questionable in floor aspects. if it does look viable, 5punk will be informed :)

I had a quick stab at it last night, and it seems to work, apart from a bit of a client crash due me having rushed the patching.

Graaa! I am level 255 Dungeon Master! Graa? Anyone?

Hehe, not much point being all powerful when there's no one to show it off to. I guess God has the same problem most of the time.

I'm up for it and ready to install WoW if it looks like it's happening.

I've got EU and US disks, so I can easily rip those and upload some images if it helps.
