city hunter: good fights, good film (if your into that kind of thing)

resident evil: alright

resident evil2: was i the only one disapointed by the fact the random spanish bloke wasnt carlos out of RE3? how hard would it of been? seriously?

AVP wasn't that bad as films go...

I think a new classification is needed when talking about films like AVP. I wouldnt say it was "good" as such. The effects were occasionally quite ropey, the storyline was silliness incarnate, the dialogue was god-awfull and the acting wasnt exactly shakespearian. But then, i really enjoyed it, so it cant really be called "bad" either. That Final Fantasy movie: that was bad.

We need a word for films that are enjoyable pulp rubbish. Also, films that are good because they are shit.

but its too early in the morning for me to be that creative.

I beleive the term for that is "guilty pleasure".

Neill Blomkamp has been named Director of the upcoming Halo film. His IMDb page would suggest he's not directed anything but he has, other than the famous Citroën advert with the transforming, dancing robot/car he's made other adverts and a short called Alive in Joburg which is definately worth a look.
