Blimely, twenty minutes in to Person of Interest, and I've lost all interest. I'd read some good things about it, but it really is low rent rubbish. Colour me disappointed.

Falling Skies Season 2 is almost over, and I have to say the show is much better than it was in Season 1. They're really getting more into the OMG WTF ALIENS aspect and less BS character drama stuff. I'd say it's worth watching if you're looking for something with a dystopian feel.

I kinda enjoyed season 1 of Falling Skies, but its best moments were always the bits with the aliens, and they were oddly few and far between. More should be better.

I was really looking forward to this, but found the first episode insultingly cliche. Does it get markedly better from there on or much the same?

Season 1 has some really hammy stuff like that, but near the end of the season it ramps up and then continues in season 2.

It's only 10 episodes per season so maybe I can try again.

Reason: I moved the trailer to the right thread because Roman *belm* is a spazzer.

Aug 18? Oh my.

Friday Night Dinner.

This isn't really new as it aired beginning of last year, but I've only just come across it on 4oD. A second season is out next month however. I wasn't expecting much, and the first episode wasn't anything special, but the rest have been really quite good.

Really looking forward to more BBT. Season 5 (was a lot better than 4 no wait season 4 had Amy so it must of been season 3 that wasn't as good) ended on a uncharacteristic genuinely emotional cliff hanger moment.

New Girl Season 2 start on the 25th, but you're not allowed to know I watch that. Zooey Deschanel :faint:

New Girl is great, and if you don't like it you obviously haven't watched enough episodes. Added to list :likesitall:

I'd happily punch Zooey into hamburger meat, but Schmit does make me laugh.

Despite promising that I'd kick it to the kerb at the end of last season, I've still gone ahead and watched the first few episodes of series 5 of The Mentalist. My predictions were true.

The main plot involving the protagonist was yet another red herring (see what I did there?), and rather than even attempting to follow the story through they've reverted to the formulaic police procedural (with a twist!) format that they've done for every episode since the pilot. The characters have barely developed, and the arc hasn't progressed. I can see that the current season will continue in much the same fashion - a few episodes will cover the protagonist story, but every thing else will be filler in the same format.

I'll probably wait until it ends then only watch the episodes that cover Red John.

I've just started to watch Threesome. It's a Comedy Central thing. I've seen the trailers over the last year and thought it seemed interesting but could never be bothered to give it a go. At a loss for anything else to watch over recently I've now watched the first three episodes and it's actually rather good. It raises a smile throughout and has some lol moments. The actors are all good and the characters have quirkiness, and it's a great premise. I'd wouldn't say rush off to watch it but certainly worth a shot if you're up to date on the usuals.
