Star Wars Galaxies

Post by Vowles »

As you can probley tell, I love it!

I own a city,a massive mansion loads of ships and cars and I am very wealthy. I also a quiet strong Jedi:)

Great thing about this I find is, If the ground grinding gets boring. You can pop up in space with your ship maybe with a few mates and blast some Tie Fighters to shit!!!

Crafting is also fun, My second character is a Domestic Trader. I can build things from houses to spaceships for people! Very fun to go out and mine the resources with mining stations or mine an asteroid or something.

There also a inifite amount of quests! Ive done about 400 and thats just one planet. There like 10 planets!

Anyways, If your a SW fan or maybe not you should try it... Fun it is!

A sony entertainment failure!

Was this not the game where sony decided to remove nearly 30% of the content, and reset -everone's- character?

Didn't they remove most of the professions?, I'm assuming that if you spent years building up a specific profession only to have it completely removed from the game you're not gonna be very happy!! :x

i was thinking about getting this, i havnt seen one of my mates for months due to this game and was afraid it would happen to me too. also its getting a bit dated, and the fact that the servers shut down often seems a bit daft to me

I was a "bit" put off this game by the actions of Sony back in August 2004.

There was some sort of credit-duping bug being exploited, and SOE's response was to ban everyone involved - including players who had unknowingly recieved them as tips.

Understandably people were a little put out by this, and all gathered in Threed, Naboo to stage a protest. SOE then threatened to shut the server down and started teleporting people to random locations, some of them into space! And then shut the server down.

I was tempted for a while. In fact only for the day or so in my life between waking up and realising WoW was shit and getting hooked more than any game before on Eve. Even less tempted now cos it's recently been hit with a bloody great nerf bat to try and squeeze a few more 12 year olds from WoW. Hold back? Not me! :ahoy:
