Re: Orcs Must Die
Two main things are to not lose any rift points and to complete it under par (if you look at the stats screen it tells you what the target completion time is).

Also you can go back and do older maps, but all the traps you've unlocked since will be available.

I believe it's the time taken and how much damage you take for the next two skulls.Mr. Johnson wrote:Yes, and balls hard at times. How do do you get more skulls btw? I only seem to get a max of 3 skulls per match, and that's when no one gets through the rift portal. (I'm playing, or rather getting my ass kicked, on war mage)

Re: Orcs Must Die
I don't think Damage comes into it, I've stood at the rift and taken fuck tons of damage on a couple of levels and still got 5 skulls.deject wrote:I believe it's the time taken and how much damage you take for the next two skulls.Mr. Johnson wrote:Yes, and balls hard at times. If you have died, you lose 5 rift points, so that would be a skull on most levels.
Find the game is fucking awesome, got 5 skulls in all but 4 levels (which have 4) most of that on my first play through, having a going on night mare now, its quite alot fucking harder.

Not noticed this earlier, but I just heard one of the Orc horde say "I'm just one day away from retirement!"

Re: Orcs Must Die
Slightly disappointed by the last level. Had loads of clever funnels and traps set up perfectly - they didn't work and I got battered. Got fed up and decided to do something stupid - won and got 5 stars. I wanted an intricate network of traps!

Re: Orcs Must Die
Updates to Orcs Must Die! have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The major changes include:
• Added a user.cfg option to limit your frame rate “forceFPS=X” where X is what you do not want it to run faster than (for example: forceFPS=30).
• Added custom keybinding using user.cfg
• Fix for the Tenderized achievement.
• Fix for the fireball achievement.
• Switch to a hardware cursor to help people with slower machines.
• Fixed up the cursor acceleration option slider to make it more useable.
• Fixed up pathing near the doors on Twin Halls.
• Fixed the bug where you could have both costumes on at the same time.
• Fixed an issue where some levels, like Gateway, would crash the game.
• Fixed the text for the costume weapons if you had a particular weaver set selected
• Fixed "Oiled Gears" Weaver Upgrade
• Fixed a bug in upgraded Swinging Mace. It wasn't doing what it was supposed to. It is now.

Re: Orcs Must Die
Ugh. I got kinda fed up with NOD32 doing that so I just whitelisted my whole Steam folder when I was still using NOD32. So annoying.Dog Pants wrote:• Causes NOD32 to quarantine OrcsMustDie.exe as a virus.
Re: Orcs Must Die
I did that too, it wasn't just limited to Orcs Must Die.

Re: Orcs Must Die
I must say that Microsoft Security Essentials has served me really well. It's maybe not as good at killing infections, but it's not annoying in anyway and does a competent job overall.
Re: Orcs Must Die
That's what I recommend to anyone who asks, although I can't quite bring myself to follow my own advice.
