Domain hosting

Post by Stuk »

My domain is soon to run out, and my ISP (who it's hosted with at the moment) wants to charge me £45.00 to renew it, when a quick search shows other people doing it for MUCH less

Does anyone have any recomendations? It's a .co.uk, and I would quite like the ability to do subdomains, but I'm living without this atm, so it's not a big thing.

Thanks :)

I use www.eukhost.com for my hosting, unlimited Sub-Domains and a lot of extras included in the package.

I use Dreamhost.com, the same as this site and it's pretty good. Lots of toys and pretty reliable so far, subdomains are available by the look of it. It cost about $90.

Thanks guys, but I'm looking for someone to just look after the domain, not full hosting packages, I'm getting that free with PlusNet :aww:

I saw they're running some really really good deals. I think it was if you sign up for 2 years, you get 20GB of webspace and 1 TERABYTE of bandwidth for $7.95 a month. I don't know if this works for the UK too but that's one kick ass deal...

As for hosting, check out what Dreamhost.com have just done (which is what 5punk is now hosted on)

I doubt very much if 5punk will run out of bandwidth :)

Speak to me first, and I'll get you the super saver discount thingy for the first year

I'll have to work out where in the menu to do this, but it can be done :)

Are you just looking for a domain to be registered and pointed at another one etc?

I can reg co.uk for cost (ish) say £10 for 2 years for you?
