So anyone got this or tried the demo?
Looks moderately interesting, if a little wow-like in it's colouring/art style.

Re: Kingdoms of amalur:reckoning
I played the demo. It was like Skyrim, but more cartoon styled and not as interesting. It was almost interested in buying it, but I just couldn't be bothered to play another game with a generic fantasy bullshit setting.
The combat seemed kinda cool though.

Re: Kingdoms of amalur:reckoning
I saw this after someone at work suggested that it was like Skyrim, but this was from someone who doesn't play Skyrim. They pronounced 'Amalur' as if it was some kind of advanced phonetic challenge they were struggling to master, as if to stress the point that it was one of those sort of faggorty bumgay games that they would be much too cool to ever play.
I think the IP used to be a magic card trading/battling game, which put me right off, but the promo video made a very definite show of cards being thrown away, several times. I read up a bit more on the battles and it sounded very button-mashy, with the occasional press X not to die QTE. Timing was mentioned in attacks, so closer to The Witcher than Skyrim would be my guess, but I haven't been interested enough to seek out a demo.

Seems like a resounding meh. Guess I'll just try and finish Skyrim instead.
