Hmmm. This is trying to hard. I'll see what the game itself is like before making judgement though.

I have also. Had no interest in the series up until now, but the people at Giantbomb have convinced me otherwise. It looks like a lot of fun.

I got it, after seeing the reviews, they convinced me to give it a go. I've been playing it on the PSThrizzle, it's good so far, lots of fun :)

Do we not have a Saint's Row 3 thread? Well it's £15 on Steam at the moment, and 5punkers seem to like it. I bought it.

Today I've enjoyed wiping out a party in a penthouse, to Kayne West's Power track, while looking fat, bright green, in skimpy beach wear and sporting a kitty backpack. Beats the meat-head snorefest of Gears of War 3 I was playing yesterday.

This thread is now a Saints Row 3 discussion thread ;}

Yes, this game is excellent. The customisation options are incredibly in-depth.

I have to say, after several po-faced GTAs in a row I'm enjoying it a lot too. The max-face, pink haired 100 year-old fat woman I made is far more fun than Niko Bellic. Although I couldn't bear to look at her for long, so I blew a load of cash in the plastic surgeon's. The level of customisation is great though, characters, clothes and cars. I'm not really following the story, but the gang warfare thing is good fun.

I enjoyed it a lot. You do some pretty ridiculous stuff in the game, and I love the idea that this street gang is now a multimedia empire.

I've had great fun playing it. Steal a car, jump out of the car, shoot some dudes, streak some dudes, go car surfing - and all without having to go bowling!

I was very amused by the "It's Not Unusual" compliment emote, just like the dance Carlton does in Fresh Prince. Nice touch.

As I said to Grimmie, I don't think it's a very good game. It feels very shoddy, graphics aren't all that and I didn't give a flying fuck about the characters or the story and I felt like I didn't have to make any effort at all to rise through the ranks, you pretty much start off as a god-like being that can handle anything and everyone.
But fuck me it's a shit ton of fun.

GTA definately lacked in fun, but like MR J SEZ, you don't really care about the characters or plots, and the graphics aren't top notch. GTA 4 however, did do a good job of vesting interest into it's story.

If GTA 5 could find a balance between the fun, customisation and story involvement, including it's good gameplay and graphics it could be onto a winner.

I think the worst part is GTA 3/VC/SA had all of this down perfectly apart from the vehicle gameplay. Instead of updating the formula, they reinvented the wheel and ended up with an ugly brick :(

And it is the most light and easy fun blast I've played since Bumout Paradise.
