Majik codery?

Post by Lateralus »

Can I put a request in for some buttons on the forum please?

I saw on another site somewhere a button beneath the smilies which brought up another window displaying all of the smilies available, which you could then click to insert into the message, and I know theres loads of them on this site which just aren't getting the use they deserve!

Also, would it be possible to get a button to toggle the displaying of all topics in a forum, or messages in a topic, cos it would be quite useful to help find old threads when the search thing isn't being helpful enough.

Last thing is that the blue used to show page numbers for forums or messages within a topic is quite hard to see in my opinion.

I mentioned a couple of these elsewhere but think they got lost in the ether.

That is all! :ignore: :aww:

I'm sure this is possible, but if I knew how to deal with it the Discussion Board icon wouldn't be so tempermental.

However, Google reveals a phpbb-approved hack that I shall wave at WEY.

I seem to remember something like that too. We shall investigate.

Could you explain further?

There's plenty of that already.

Besides, if we started making it we'd have to charge subscription to handle hosting costs.

What I mean is, when you go into, say, the 5punk forum, you go into page 1 out of about 30-odd pages. I was wondering if its possible to toggle the display so that you can see all of the topics in one go rather than in paginated form. And the same goes for the messages within a topic too, see all the posts in one go rather than paginated. But have this as a user-defined toggle switch cos I definitely remember seeing someone complaining here about long pages before....... :)

And just to clarify WEY, I didn't mean have all the smilies visible at once, but I thought that there were roughly one billion somewhere on the site already. :likesitall:

Would so many queries make the database cry?

No I know that, but if I add more, a "view more emoticons" button appears underneath, which will pop up a new window with all the extra smileys I have added, but aren;t able to fit on the posting page :)
