5punker of the Year 2011

Post by Dog Pants »

It's the time of year for the 5punk awards again. Please nominate your entries for the 5punker of the Year. Nominees should be those 5punkers who have gone above and beyond in their pursuit of horses and bumming, providing a shining beacon of magenta light to the rest of us in the cold depths of the internets. Nominations end in a week or so or when I can be arsed setting up polls on this thread.

Many 5punkers deserve this award, some more than others but you are all special to me. I'm not ashamed to admit that and there is nothing ironic about it. A special mention goes out to the people that attended my bash, I was very happy that you were all willing to come this far just to drink beers in my house and drive over our motorists.
Dog Pants was as usual one of the driving horses behind our little site, relentlessly writing things, trying to get more people to join and figuring out server stuff despite a busy private life. Stoat has been ninjaring on our site, and he's easy to miss because he mostly works behind the scenes, but is vital to our existence so thanks Stoat! thoat. I'll add the others when I can actually remember what happened the past year.

I'm nominating Pants for taking the initiative to organize our B33F server.
Stoat should be nominated for the awesome work migrating to the new PHPBB and making everything spiffy and cool.

Pants without a doubt. I'm not sure this place would keep going without him.

Buzz, Pnut and Roman for giving me a hand with the TS server when I was in a financially wobbly state.

Pants for being generally great as always.
Stoat for getting the forums back up before we all suffered too much withdrawal.

All the usual suspects of course deserve praise, particularly Jockgit for still managing to put on an excellent bash in very trying times, but I'd like to give the nod to Baliame, who's been helping us with some behind-the-scenes stuff that not all of you may be aware of.

I'd ideally thank you all for being the lovely cunts that you are in a world going slightly more mad by the day, so well done to all of you, you're all super.

On an individual basis, in no particular order;
FJ for keeping hold of the reins
Doggers for consistently driving us forward
Legoshoes and Jockgit for their free steam game generosity (which I'll hopefully get to play when I've reined in my Skyrim habit)
Jock for sorting Jockbash despite being attacked by a case of the crazy
Grimmie for always being around to answer questions on web design and for tolerating me go on about divs, half pissed in a St Anne's Wetherspoons for about an hour.

Another vote for Doggers. There's plenty of 5punkers that the place would not be the same without, but if I have to pick one of you bummers out, Pants floats to the top.

I didn't actually intend to make him sound like a poo there.
