I played the demo about 18 months ago - had a rather odd mode where you had to eject from the cockpit and score points on how far your (presumably by this time, lifeless) body was propelled up a wooden tower. It didn't hold my attention for very long.

Ooh, I quite liked that. Most fun (but not worth shelling out £30 for ).

Heh, you do know that it doesn't support internet multiplayer out of the box don't you?
Yes the developers were that stupid
It can be done, the community have made a few programs to direct connect people to each other. Here are a few:
