Hullo! I'm Matt. Most people call me Matt. Some call me Kamen. A few call me Alex, which is slightly odd, since it's my middle name, and most people don't generally go by their middle names. Anyway, I'm a games journo by trade, which means I'm hideously behind on games I actually want to play. I've just started this new one called BioShock. It looks OK; not heard much about it before.

I know Grimmie in that pesky 'real life' distraction. He suggested I should sign up here. So, in short, blame him.

Hallo! Some people call me Dog Pants. Others call me Pants, which is odd because it's not my real name or even my first internet name, but I suppose Dog sounds too 'gangsta'. My wife doesn't call me either, or indeed my real name, opting instead for a selection of four letter titles, some good and some bad. I'm currently trying to squeeze the last few badges out of a little known indie game called Battlefield Bad Company 2.

You're all mis-spelling 'word'. As a journalist (and someone who's not in on what's clearly an inside joke) this annoys me greatly.

That aside, thanks for the warm welcome everyone! However, I'm likely to be pretty quiet the next few weeks, as I'm on holiday the next four days, then off to New York to play video games for work the four days immediately after that. Ho hum....

I beg to disagree! Being derived from US backstreet phrase "Werd to yo' muther, Deject", it is in fact spelt entirely correctly. Grimmie is clearly failing in his mentoring duties. You may whip him on our behalf, though I do believe he considers that a reward rather than a punishment.

Werd is indeed an in-joke. Taken from the wiki:
