Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
I feel I should point out that these guys look more like typical Downtowners than combat trained mercenaries.

Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
I do have a couple Blast/Conc grenades on me, we can try to disable them for questioning, but I'll need some backup.

Unless you need to go past them, I'd just leave them for now.

Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
I'm just wondering what happens when they're done with their jobs and decide to get up and leave?
I guess I'll continue down the corridor then, poking the cam around corners to see what's happening.

Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
Well, there's only four corners. Snooping around this level reveals a bunch of similar store rooms around the central sorting room with the blokes in, and one elevator on the north corridor. You complete the circuit and don't find any other signs of life.

I guess we can try jumping the dudes in the central room, see what we can get out of them.

Grimmie might be able to 'blend in', to a degree - turn up asking where they're up to and pretend to be part of the crew.

Blend in? A face painted armoured guy dragging a giant gun about?
By the way, me and grim were discussing this over the weekend, and I realised something: we are taking the BPNs word that this TT facility even exists. I've looked back through, and the only evidence they based that on is that some dodgy looking suited men have been doing business here, and there was some TT activity at some point recently. It's all fucking conjecture: we might find a TT facility, or we might find fuck all. Or we might find a manchine in bunny ears, we don't really know. Even this meet I've lined up for later was all done in doublespeak and innuendo. We don't know the goods they have are what we are looking for, they could be guns, combat drugs, anything. All we know is that it's Good Shit.
Not sure that any of that really changes what we are doing in the short term though.
Anyone got any way of taking these downtowners down non-lethal and quiet like? If we could stun em, we could move them out through the tunnel, and deej can carry on sneaky scouting whilst someone interrogates them.

I don't know about quietly, but I have a couple flashbang types that should let us overwhelm them with ease.Joose wrote:Anyone got any way of taking these downtowners down non-lethal and quiet like? Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
Which is why I said "to a degree" - he's human and tooled up, he might be able to claim he's sorting firepower for the Snappers. These are just street bums by the sound of it, and they're in a "secure" facility so they might believe he's supposed to be down there.Joose wrote:Blend in? If he goes up and asks where the boss is, claiming he's got another shipment coming in, they might tell him. If they don't believe him you've got 4 homeless guys to beat up.

Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
Er, right. Grimmie slides his goggles up and on to his forehead, magholds Bertha on his back, and nonchalantly wanders through the corridors Deject's just traversed, giving him a friendly wave on the approach, and heads in to the room with a clap of his hands and a sly grin.
I'm a bit confused by the whole scenario (what's new?) so, could someone tell me what I'm attempting to do? I might be a bit short-sighted, but all I can tell is that we're under a bar, where we're not supposed to be, and now I'm approaching some doods looking at junk.Grimmie wrote:Alright lads, where are we up to? Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
Shortish version:
The bar (and so presumably the bit under it) belongs to a group called the Red Snappers, who may or may not have dealings with TT. We are hoping that the under bar area either has what we are looking for (TT stuff/facility) or has some link to it. Snappers boss man is supposedly going to meet his supplier (who may or may not be TT), so info on that would be good. Also worth noting: TT may not actually be involved at all. Our BPN seems to think they are, but the evidence is less than compelling.
Even shorter version:
We don't know shit.

Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
Thanks for the in-brief. That's sort of what I thought, but couldn't quite tell. :D
As for the SCL badge, he doesn't wear it on his armour, it's cool. It's underneath on the urban digs, so it doesn't get shot off.

They look at you a little nervously but carry on with their work.

Computer Use (4): 3, 4 + 4 = 11
Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
We'll hang onto that for now then. You might find something eventually, but not before Grimmie finishes his dialogue.
