It's stiff and heavy, but it slowly gives. It feels like there's something moderately heavy behind it, which moves slightly as you push. STR roll please Deej.

Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
Yep, that gives and slides open with a gentle scraping. No light is coming from the next room, but looking around in UV it appears to be in use. Boxes, crates, and various other containers are piled haphazardly, one of which was in front of the door. The room they're in is about 15m square with a similar looking door in better repair opposite. The crates, at a glance, seem to contain various scraps of armour and ceramic, brass casings, bits of servos and other pieces of combat equipment components. None looks new, and some looks outright useless to your untrained eye.

I'm off on holiday - Dirk is currently stood in the sewers awaiting the results of Deej's recon.

Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
I think it's safe to call in the rest of you guys to this point. You guys with UV/IR could take a look around without drawing attention while I keep on scouting.
Detect (4): 6, 7 + 4 = 17
I'll check the opposite door for any sort of traps or anything.Alright guys move up, I've found a door that leads to a room where there's been some work getting done, come on up and check it out. I'm going to keep on checking the area.

I think I've already said this, but I'll be waiting upstairs in an out of the way location. Not in the bar, but nearish.
Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
Next door along is similar to the last but in better condition. It doesn't appear to be locked or trapped.

Okidoki.
Grimmie will occasionally check his various scanners (enviro, motion) whilst going through the room in IR. I does not has UV.
Sneak:
8,10 +4 = 22
Detect:
10,4 +5 = 19
Edit:
How much would it cost to "Modify" my goggles to be able to cycle through modes of vision Predator style?

Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
Modifying a piece of consumer electronics like IR goggles would be pretty expensive, but no doubt there would be a model on the market which does all vision modes which I can price up. They do it for scopes so it's fair to say you get goggles too.
You don't see a lot in IR, and in fact it's pretty difficult to make your way around among the dark blues and blacks. You fumble your way around quietly though, and don't pick up anything unpleasant on the enviro-scanner.

Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
I'll try opening the door slowly a bit to stick the A/V stalk through and see what's what.
Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
The light streams in through the crack and it takes a second or two for the visuals to adjust. On the other side is a lit corridor, clean but old and worn. Panning around you can see more similar doors - two on the same side as you and one on the opposite wall a little way down. You're looking from the furthest left one. The corridor appears to turn 90 degrees at either end in the same direction. You don't see anyone there.

Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
I'll sneak to the end of the corridor and take a look around the corner using the AV stalk.
Sneak (4): 10, 9 + 4 = 23
Hide (4): 10, 1 + 4 = 15

Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
There's another pretty similar corridor with two larger doors facing each other midway down. The corner of the corridor at the far end would suggest that the whole thing is a large square. Again, there's no sign of activity.

In that case, I'll check the other doors in this corridor.

Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
I'm away for a few days, so Eraser will follow Hal as his 'dim stormer' bodyguard until someone kicks off, then they get a face full of 'Murderer'
Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
I'll assume you're sneaking and using your AV stalk. The next door down looks to be full of more junk, old and broken weapons and armour, ammo casings, and other martial rubbish. The one opposite, the large interior room, contains similar piles of junk, but sorted into crates and bins. In the middle at a large table each are four scruffy, bored looking men who appear to be sorting through the boxes of junk, stripping down weapons and armour for serviceable parts and discarding the useless parts.

Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
The more we see, the less convinced I am that this is the place. Hmm.
I say take 'em, if you think you can do it quietly. But then, I'm impatient, and its not my ass on the line. Hal is stood outside enjoying a cigar and chatting to Eraser, so if everything goes to balls I can just walk away

Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
I would suggest making sure they're the only ones here, and if so, carry on scoping the place out so we can find good cover if it comes to a fight.
