Torchwood was Torchwood.
Warehouse 13 was good.
Agree on burn notice, it's lost something.

Spotted The Blue Planet: The Deep on the iPlayer. It's a repeat but well worth a watch if you haven't seen it already. Some completely alien nature shizzle going on down there.

New season of Damages has started. If you've not seen it before check out the first 3 seasons - very good.
Also I think deej has mentioned it before, but 30 Rock is one of the funniest things on tv. First 2 seasons on dvd for cheap.

Ooooh 4th season of Breaking Bad just aired. It's really a show you should be watching.

I just caught the last 20 minutes of episode two of Twenty Twelve. Seems episode 1 has buggered off already.
It's a "Comedy series following the challenges faced by those responsible for delivering the 2012 Olympics." delivered in spoof style.
I have to say it was pretty hilarious.

It's heavily reminiscent of The Games, which the Australians did before their Olympics in 2000. Much of it turned out to be a little near the mark.WereRabbit wrote:I just caught the last 20 minutes of episode two of Twenty Twelve. Seems episode 1 has buggered off already.

Good spot! Hadn't seen this one at all. Just watching the first episode. (all 6 are on the floor...)WereRabbit wrote:I just caught the last 20 minutes of episode two of Twenty Twelve. Seems episode 1 has buggered off already.

Kind of like The Thick of it, not quite as good but still funny. A few recognisable faces from greenwing, spaced etc as well.

Thundercats 2011 - not too bad actually. Not as good as the original (nostalgia permitting), and the voice acting is a bit ropey in places (especially Lion-O and the Wily-things). Not too bad though.
Re: New season talk type thread thing.
I understand that Snarf doesn't speak, which is probably a good change from the original.

Anyone had a look at Death Valley?
Basically a Cops spoof, covering an anti zombie/vampire/werewolf taskforce, first ep seemed not too bad, humour was a bit forced, and pleasingly immature.
oh yeah, and has pleasing logic regarding zombie speed, new ones are fast, they slow down as they rot.

The Bomb Squad
Follows British Army EoD chaps around Afganistan while they're IED hunting and disposing. Watch it.

This show is quite funny. I didn't expect much but its turning out to be pretty good.
Suprisingly, Chevy Chase is good too.
I should have listened to this at the time; just coming to the end of season one and this has had me in stitches. Yes, it is another US ensemble comedy but it is genuinely funny. There are more cultural references per episode than you can count, a couple of fantastic characters (and a few make-weights), Chevy Chase is bloody hilarious and it also has Alison Brie (swoons).
