With a flourish of his cap and a wave of his hand, Glibberig leaves the office.Glibberig wrote:I'm afraid I was only authorised to discuss this transaction with Emir Pyn. For any other matters my personal assistant here would be delighted to deal with you - as Royal Eunuch he is able to carry out lesser transactions on my behalf.

Thor has never heard of a Eunuch and reckons it to be some kind of fancy-pants name for a guard.
His eyes flick towards the door Glib has just gone out of.Thor wrote:Thank-you kindly for you time, Ma'am.

Glibberig looks sombre.Glibberig wrote:Pyn was a man of modest, meagre means - mmm!
I think a money motive may be misprized. Mmmbm.
A chat with the widow I think! Do I look suitably sombre, Shankley?

I reckon Bart will know a few things about the militia. I'm going to pick his brains. If not I'll pull strings at the church again.Shankley wrote:I think I'll try to cover the militia angle while you work your charms. Face-to-face was never really my thing. I think I might know a few places to start.

Re: D&D Adventure #3: Vicious Circle
After a little X-Fire based information gathering, Glibberig finds himself standing in front of a set of terraced houses. There's a woman sitting on her doorstep weeping in to her hands, and a few old housewives stand around her, comforting her with kind words and squeezes on her shoulder. From the descriptions some have given, the blonde woman crying is Emma, Steven's widow.Roman Totale wrote:Glibberig is making his way over to the widow's house.
Seeing as Joose is sat in a field in Leeds at the moment, we're going to assume Bart is still minding the chapel in Wildemill (like Gerald visiting his mum in the tubes), guarding it from spiders and angry pholtean clerics. There are two churches in Orhedge though, St. Cuthbert's and Pelor's. I didn't want to assume to which you were headed, so it's up to you.Dog Pants wrote:I reckon Bart will know a few things about the militia. I'm going to pick his brains. The one I live in
That's Cuthbert isn't it?
Re: D&D Adventure #3: Vicious Circle
I'll ask the old boys where the militia HQ is then, or their captain, or where people in the militia might hang out when they're having a drink together. In fact I might just go to the pub and ask instead. The Iron Man, is that the human pub?
Re: D&D Adventure #3: Vicious Circle
Thoroar wrote:Errrrr... Not at all. I wouldn't be afraid about not being able to find them, though, just look for a crowd looking weirdly at Glibberig. We could, however, return to the scene of the second murder and see if we can find anything the guards may have missed.

So, this half elf walks into a bar...
I'm going to get a drink and try to strike up a conversation with the barman.

The barman frowns, fills a dimpled mug with ale, and hands it to the rosy-cheeked man next to you.Shankley wrote:Thanks, a drink was much needed. Been an emotional day today hasn't it? Wonder how the militia will get on without two of their guys. Hey, you think that's a coincidence?

Shankley wrote:Well, maybe not then. How many militia are there? I mean, if there's two hundred of them it's probably not a coincidence. Suppose if they were friends it stands to reason they move in similar circles. I'm pretty handy with a sword and bow, I might offer up my arm to them. Do you get paid for it? What's a call to arms? Do they recruit there?
Oh, and I'm not an elf.

Sorry, busy all weekend/bank holiday. Our internets went down for most of the day at work, first chance I've had to look.
