No, they're from Grimmie's subconcious finally realising this BPN has the word "Machine" in it, and he should probably attend his favourite plot-lineDog Pants wrote:Yay Grimmie's back! Are the grey streaks down your face from the tears over not being able to bring Bertha in?

Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
Hal gives a firm handshake to anyone offering a hand.
He explains that he used to "work" in markets and the like in less reputable areas, until Haynes spotted him and suggested he got SLA Op training. Hal saw it as an opportunity for "Loads o Bunse", so lept at it. He mostly deals with financial stuff, investments and the like, but also helped his old team in getting better BPNs, publicity, that sort of thing. He's also got a good rep with the lower end of Mort society, and "getting things done". He doesnt seem to be entirely speaking the same language as you guys.

Hal smiles. It looks a bit like someone has told him what a smile is, but he's never seen one himself. Its more of a grimace.Hal wrote:...but I'll let you lads make with the claret. Im a lover, not a fighter.

I think Grimmie has Harry on his boat judging by that picture.

The bewildered receptionist decides to hurry things along and directs you Mr Risikko's office.
Risikko wrote:Hello gentlemen. The labours of your last job for me have come to fruition and we have intelligence to suggest the location of the remains of the Tek-Trex project. We don't know the exact location, but we've narrowed it down to the sector. We need you to find it and destroy anything that can be used for their chrome project.

Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
Is there any new information about what Tek Trex have been up to since we broke up their party?

Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
I was going to double check my facts on the wiki, but it's not there. From memory though wasn't there a half complete manchine that got away? If we were sworn to secrecy then pretend Dirk didn't mention the escapee - I'm sure he's got a better memory than I do.Dirk wrote:Yeah, they gave Gerald one hell of a beating - though to be fair he didn't have the same lovely armour that you currently have. Still, grenades sound good.
Mr Risikko, any chance of the, er, "escapee" from last time being there?
Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
Nah, you bagged the cyborg thing too, then blew up a Buzzard drone with a grenade. You can talk to Risikko about stuff though, it's the Karma arc that generally has to be kept schtum.
Risikko wrote:Well you remember those Chrome Warriors? Looks like they're developing a market for a reinvention of them. This is bad for everyone if it takes off - Tek Trex have been on the decline since the original Chrome era, but if they start selling black market cybernetics we could see more dangerous hardware on the streets and a real problem for the company in time. We've not seen anything yet, which makes us think you hurt their operation a lot last time, but yesterday we had a Shiver patrol report in that they saw a bunch of suits with the van we've been looking for talking to the local Johannas in Cochese sector. We knew they were around there somewhere, and we know they're trying to recoup the costs of the damage. Looks like the research has been halted and they're selling what they've got. No sign of crazy vets or Props, so you might have an easier ride on this one. Don't quote me on that though.

Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
I know we've had contact with the Johannas before, but did we make any friends? God my memory is shocking today.
Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
It'd be so much more fun to let you keep wondering, but Dirk (or any other squad member) would surely remember that they don't hate you any more than anyone else.

Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
So as far as you are aware, they haven't found any more bullet heads to try and recruit? They're just trying to get some uni selling their scraps?
