EA are apparently pulling all their games from Steam, jacking up the prices and putting them on their own content manglement system, Origin. Supposedly you can still play games you already have on Steam, and can transfer serial keys across to the new system.

I just went ahead and pre-ordered on Amazon. They're a big enough juggernaut of sales that if there is some special bullshit EA wants to push, they'll get it, and I can still say fuck you Origin you're not getting my money.
RPS have reported about Crysis 2 being removed, but apparently that's Valves choice (due to Crytek/EA breaking the agreement) rather than EA actually pulling the game.
I can't imagine anyone at EA is stupid enough to restrict sales outlets for existing titles. Possibly put new exclusives in their new store for a limited time, but not actually block sales.
I'm not sure even EA is this stupid, considering they have full control of the prices on Steam, so if they wanted more revenue, they'd just adjust the prices. It'd be rather naive to believe that their six thousand six hundred sixty seventh failed attempt at a content distribution system could make a difference that could be worth them the extra effort / expenses. We are talking about EA here though, so it's not impossible that they're trying their best to implode.
