Narp.

The creature is sliced across its tendons, rendering it's ability to move its arms or legs virtually nil. It tries to move when it sees you draw the sword but its too slow and instead it starts wriggling its torso like a floundered fish and crying out with deep wracking sobs.

Crying? I wouldn't think anything mutated like these would be capable of like that. I wonder what they used to be.

It's heaving sobs get worse as you try and talk to it, it continues to flap about with its useless arms and legs trailing like meaty comets behind its torso.

The guys who walked have now pretty much reached the flyer. Inside is Smith, Ingress5 and Alvrin, outside is Jon.

I've missed something somewhere, but never mind. If nothing else happens before I get there I'll sense it's ass. I've got a horrible feeling that this thing used to be someone we knew.

The path finally reached ground level upon inspection by Ingress5's drones. Pnut decided Hernandez decided to walk and you decided Jasper would join. As you got to the bottom of the path where it reached the valley floor Hernandez had a good cyber look at a trail that headed off roughly the same way as your spirit has.

Roll your ass sense if you want, your guys are a few metres away.

The creatures spirit is a similar mess to the one you sensed earlier, it's core isn't fluctuating as much though, it's ugly from surgery, anger and fear. Now it's mostly calm and a bit afraid.

The creature pauses in its flapping as it sees the plush toy still nestled in Smith's bag, it's eyes flicker toward Alvrin and then back to the doll, it makes a gentle cooing noise.

Whatever it is, it's kinda freaky. They don't smell too good on the outside either.

Alvrin hand-squeegies off some more creature gore for effect.

I'll keep checking out the cockpit.

The dead co-pilot is still there. Torn and choked, surrounded by spent casings and discarded guns.

Behind you the creature attempts to get to Ingress5's plush toy and realises it can't move. It starts wailing again, fat tears running down it's hideous face.

Ingress5 will jump into his comlink, just in case, (if he isn't there already, can't remember) and send the toy over to the creature. I'll give him an awkward pat on the head area.

The wailing subsides into sobbing again. The creature is now a snotty mess as well as hideous. It's wounds are covered in thick dark scabs, the smaller ones on its chest are already shedding scabs after a few hours.

You've been out of town for just over an hour now. The sun is up a bit higher and has a few extra degrees of warmth in, but you're not getting much benefit as a wind is gusting fitfully and stirring the powdered snow in lazy swirls. The storm cloud front you saw earlier is marginally closer.

Yeah Jasper's right. We need to track her down. Anyone know how to track people? Also doc, could you check me out real quick? My head is killing me from that scream from the boss monster that got away. I'd like to show him my steel.
