Hmmm, if it was just at work I think it would look suspicious. We may need to get our hands on some more of this stuff to plant at one of their apartments to make it more convincing.

Remember at the Gauss station we heard about those Carrien that had stopped a train? We could claim they smashed into the factory, dribbled everywhere and infected the stock, beefed up on doobrie chow then went on a train smashing rampage. We can claim DarkNight have been feeding the Carrien Shatter - makes us look good and DN even worse. Good PR for us all if we pull it off.

If we take them out on camera it will be an extra bonus.

Can anyone see if there is a BPN still open for dealing with them?

That might work, and it would look better for Karma too.

I guess a Computer Use roll with my Oyster to see if there are any BPNs that would work for our purposes.

Computer Use (4): 4, 5 + 4 = 13

Your first search comes up with hundreds, which at a glance don't appear to be of much use. Tightening your search criteria zips the number down to 0.

Didn't the shivers at the station say there was a red in place?

Yep, the one on the gauss line. Didn't show up on Deject's search, but I did assume he was looking for available BPNs. It comes up in a search of BPNs in progress.

Can we see which squad is assigned to it? Hopefully we'll be able to speak top them over comms and head over to where they are.

It's a squad in their SCL10s called Cube Face. Looks like they took the BPN about an hour ago, so potentially they could still be on their way here.

As long as we're sure the facility is secure, I say we head over there ASAP. I don't want to steal this BPN of them though - I suggest we work with them. Might be handy to have a friendly Ops squad around.

You've pretty much checked out the whole facility now. There's a couple of areas like inside the machinery spaces and lift shafts you've not seen, but I'll save you the effort and tell you they're empty.

I'll look for a suitable entry point to stage a break in by raging Carrien. I'll probably need Eraser's help for making the appropriate levels of damage to whatever entrance we find.

I was thinking maybe a Tracking roll would help pick the best sort of entry point, but I'm not sure exactly what else I would need to roll.

Well you only have a choice of two, and you've been to both of them. The building plans show a gutter drain which leads to the sewers too, but doesn't state how big it is. The top of that is at the end of the production line to catch all the dripping bits of Stormer chow and dump them. Unfortunately that bit is also now covered in mutilated corpses.

If the building plans list any maintenance or janitorial facilities, I'll head there and look for equipment that could help protect me from excessive gore and then head for the drain and check it out.

There's the R&D closet, you saw some brooms and stuff. There's also a hook on a stick near the pile of gore that looks like it's for poking blockages.

I'll grab a broom and then the hooky-pole thing. First, I'll check out the hole and see how big it is.

Shoving and scooping the gore out of the way you find a narrow and clogged pipe with gutters leading to it. It's large enough for you, possibly Dirk, but even the humans would find it pretty tight.

Well, according to the book the average carrien is about 1.8m tall, so it's possible to suppose that they could get in through the grate. I think we might want to abandon the idea of actually going on the BPN, and see if Daniels can get us some Carrien that would fit the bill.

Thoughts?
