The Cape

Started last night - superhero type thing. I have it downloading at the moment, but has anyone else seen it?

I didn't watch it, but the reports I head were that it was really bad.

I saw the trailer and the special effects for the titular cape look unconvincing at best. And Vinnie Jones ...

It's like a really shit version of Batman. At one point someone even said "you need to become a symbol".

He gets trained by circus folk and masters all their skills in one day (presumably, no indication is given that any length of time has passed - not even a montage that fades out). Early on Vinnie Jones (playing Vinnie Jones) gets the chance to shoot him in the head - instead he ties him up with chains and throws him in the river. What do you know, he uses his Houdini skills to escape.

Really, it's all just a bit pish.

It does have Summer Glau in it though.

Another good episode of Chuck. I really hope it gets another season.

Also one of the songs used in it has a rather good video:

Haha, that's brilliant. Sounded ever so slightly Daft Punk too, just a little too repetitive (not that Daft Punk isn't also repetitive).

Slightly off yet so on: Burn Notice getting a prequel movie this spring, with Sam as the main character.

Anyone got any comments on Bedlam or Outcasts? (Mostly interested in the [not] worth watching types)

I saw the first episode. It has a feeling of a British Lost, in that it hints at mysteries to be revealed later, hopefully. There's one or two interesting characters. It's sci-fi lite, there's little science in the fiction. It could easily be set in the past, with the planet being a newly discovered continent and the incoming spaceship a regular sea ship. I wanted to give it a go because it's British and sci-fi. It's not as good as recent US sci-fi shows but at least it's shorter. I'm going to watch a couple more episodes and see if it gets better.
