COMPEMATITIONZ! Stephen Hawking's book!

Post by Joose »

Last night I went with the mrs to a lecture by Stephen Hawking. It was brill, going into his early life, then how he got into SCIENCE, and finally getting all complicated and weird. Highly enjoyable.

Included in the price of the ticket was a copy of his new book, The Grand Design. Obviously, as there were two of us, we had two tickets, so we got two books. As anyone who has been to our house can attest, we have enough books. We really don't need two of the same one. We thought it would be fun to have a competition on here to win it. Yay!

Our first thought was some sort of quiz, but I suspect your google-fu is strong enough that a quiz would effectively be a race, in which case we may as well just give it to Berk and skip the middle bit

Instead, Mrs Joose came up with the cunning idea of having a more creative question, and then have you guys vote on the results. Any ties in the voting would be decided on by naked mud wrestling*. Here is the question she has set you, to be answered in 50 words or less:

If you were god, making the universe, what would you have done differently?

Post your answers here. They can be funny, thought provoking, whatever. Deadline is next Monday, at which point I will put up a poll for people to vote on their favourite. Cut off for voting will be Wednesday.

Enjoy!

*may be a lie.

I would make Joose not lie about the beautiful and ancient art of wrestling in mud

i would create a universe where time flows in a Sierpinski triangle rather than a straight line

so instead of being linear one day to the next you would backtrack through previous days, (or years, or hours etc) before progressing to the next

I would have made sure Maxis modelled Spore after my glorious handiwork, and made a half-decent game out of it.

I'd have hashed it all together on Monday then monged for the rest of the week. Also I would have rigged the Bing Bang to go off everytime Man stepped on the doormat, just for laughs.
