Club? What club? Do you mean the Basement? If so, thats not a club, thats the area of the city you are in. Bargain Basement, so called due to the shitty housing and low cost, low quality lifestyle. Its not unusual for bits of the metroplex like this to be filled with "unusual activity". For one thing, low police coverage means high crime rates, and in SR crimes can be pretty weird. But also, places like this are a good place to hide if you are a bit of a wierdo yourself, so they are where vampires, unpleasantly SURGEd people, escapees from illegal experiments, violent psychopaths or Free Spirits tend to end up. Hence: Weirdness a go-go.
Its late afternoon/early evening. Want to go to Homelessworld?

You going straight there then? Okeydoke.
Leaving the now rather sozzled Toast and chums to thier bikes, you head off in the direction he waved in.
The shelter is just around the corner, a couple of blocks away. Its an old building, but it looks like its had a fair amount of repair work done recently. Its certainly in better condition than the buildings around it. Over the door is a big sign declaring the building to be "Haven - A Home For All". To the side is a sign, with an exact duplicate in AR:

Welcome to Haven, a Renraku funded charitable organisation providing shelter, food and basic medical care to the SINless and the needy. We welcome all who need help.
Rules of accomodation:
1) Although ID is optional, a basic medical checkup is required for acceptance. This is for the safety of other residents, and medical aid will be offered to anyone suffering illness or injury.
2) Drug or BTL use is strictly prohibited. Residents or visitors found in breach of this rule will be ejected from the premises, for the safety of the other residents.
3) Weaponry is strictly prohibited. All residents and visitors will be required to pass a security scan.
4) Although some magical use is permitted, any offensive use of magic will result in ejection from the premises. Weapon foci and summoned spirits are strictly prohibited to both residents and visitors.
Haven also offers counselling services, legal advise services, health and welfare advice as well as regular talks on subjects such as education and employment with Renraku. Attendance is strongly encouraged, but not required!

Minoru wrote:Not heard of this one in particular, but stuff like this pops up from time to time. Its probably part of a deal with UCAS. Something along the lines of "You get the land, but you have to provide this service on it for the first 5 years" or "You get this contract here if you provide us with that service there", that sort of thing. Might even just be a placeholder op. Property ownership records in the Barrens are still all fucked up from the Crash, so sometimes small cheap setups are established to keep corporate hold on the land. I'll look into it and see if I can dig out any further information for you. Might take a while though, so don't hold your breath.
