Game Save Manager

Post by FatherJack »

This was rather handy earlier this week when I lost one of my Raptors where all my non-Steam games were saved.

http://gsm.duncsweb.com/

It backs up all your saved games, but even just running it tells you where they should be on the disk, so I was able to recover most of them from my usual backups.

I've also been able to safely prune several gigs of Witcher and Dragon Age saves clogging up my C: drive, safe in the knowledge they're backed up.

I shall have to try this. I checked why my Documents folder was so big and I had like 6GB of Dragon Age save games. I was like 0_o

Witcher's the worst - it creates an entirely new file every time you hit F5. I wouldn't mind so much if games honoured the fact that My Documents are on my G: drve, but a lot of them don't.

I mostly just wish all games would use the My Games folder instead of dumping everything in My Documents. I can't easily find the folders I really want because most of the folders are from games.
