She keeps a fairly clear desk, which is fairly common in SLA offices. There's a picture of her and a sulky, skinny, scruffy looking bloke on her desk. There're a couple of drawers in her desk, which are locked.

ooh, ooh, ooh! Can I try out my lockpicking skills?! I knew there was a reason I took them.

Lockpicking: 10,3,+2 = 15

Sweet, I honestly expected that to fail.

You deftly jimmy open the fairly lightweight locks. Most of what's in there is mundane - a few Uni, a bit of makeup, pens and such. There's some paperwork and a couple of notebooks too. Again, mostly mundane (train times, canteen menus, a few incomplete forms), but one of the notebooks has a few pages dedicated to several of the projects going on here. Most is bureaucratic jargonese, but you get the impression that as a PA it's probably not within her remit.

I shall spend some time photographing the notepad so we have a mini-library of her works. I'd try seeing what was on her computer, but I don't think Dirk knows how to switch one on (yet he still has Computer Subterfuge rank 2, the retard).

Once I've done that I'll see if I can take one of the drawers out and put a bug at the back. Can I do some sort of reverse detect roll so I can plant it where it won't be seen?

I'd like to try scaling the building to get a better glimpse of their living space if possible. What kind of negative modifiers am I looking at?

Roman: Yep, that's exactly what you can do. What sort of bug is it?

Deject: Not a lot, SLA architecture is typically gothic, even the crappy concrete cubes of Suburbia. This means plenty of handholds. I should work out a list of modifiers really, but for now I'll say -3.

Just a mini-microphone, nothing fancy.

Detect: 2,8,+8 = 18

Hmm, I may see if I can have a peek in Sumner's office whilst I'm here.

Yeah that cancels out my skill, I'm not going to try that.

I think I shall wait for her to leave her apartment again. Outside of trying to plant a camera to watch her door, there isn't a whole lot more I can do.

After staring blankly at the electronically locked door, Dirk mooches out of the building.

Do we know where Sumner lives? If so I may take my mooching over to her place to see if anything seems suspicious. If she sees me, I'll claim I was just heading over to get more info.

Deject: She doesn't re-emerge for some time, but her husband does. He's a scruffy looking blighter who shuffles off towards the train station.

Roman: You don't know where she lives, but Deject could probably find out.
