While Bart's distracted looking for gribblies I'm going to sneak off down the treeline towards the orcs. If they come towards Bart that's fine, I'll wait for them to pass me and hit them in the back when they're about mid way between me and him. If they don't notice him and he doesn't notice them I'll shoot at them from the trees and try to sneak off back towards the tank again.

Both of the Orcs turn around to see what just yelled out behind them, and instantly spot Bart in middle-distance.
They reach up to their shoulders to lift javelins out.

Initiative rolls please!
(D20 + Dex modifier)

I'll have a hide check from you too, Pants.

Oh bugger. My character sheet is now on my laptop and USB HDD, neither of which are handy.

EDIT: Ta Grimmie

Initiative: 18 + 4 = 22

Hide: 16 + 8 = 24

Blimey, the WotC roller is being nice. Wait until I start rolling to hit...

I need to get a move on or Bart will charge past me...

I'll speed up;

Your hiding holds up, Orcs turn!

Both of them draw their javelins fully and begin moving towards Bart, scowling and yelling something back at him in Orcish.

Bart next.

They're still 180ft away (and 120ft from Pants), and your move speed is 20, because you're wearing the heaviest armour known to man.

You can move 40 and draw a weapon (two move actions), or run for 60 as a full round action.

Back round to Forenrond then!

You're both 120ft from the Orcs, Forenrond's still hiding in the tree-line.

Well that went almost as badly as it could have. I can't afford to fall behind Bart, so I'll do the same again.

That puts Forenrond 60ft from the Orcs, and.. They still don't spot you!

Both of them continue to move forward - and upon seeing Bart charging towards them - one stops dead and hurls his Javelin overhead with a feral grunt.

Luckily, it whistles through the air and falls short, wedging itself in the ground.

Orc 1 is 60ft away
Orc 2 is 90ft away

Perfect. I'll whip out my bow and line up a shot. If I can I'll shoot one, although which one depends on when I can shoot.

EDIT: Or wait for Joose.

You'll be able to shoot the nearest one at 60ft without a penalty (The book says within 59ft, but I think distance rounded up makes more sense), but you'll only get your ranged sneak attack if you move up within 30ft.

Hmm. Well I'm assuming that the orcs are closing to meed Bart, so I'm hoping that by the time I've knocked up a shot they'll be close enough to get a sneak attack on anyway. I'm also hoping that I can get it in before Bart hits them.

Well, you can move 30ft and keep your sneakies on at no penalty AND fire your attack, as you'll only be moving once and as such can do a standard action!
Simples?

If you want to do so, roll your attack
(D20 + Dex mod)

Roll your damage and sneak bonus damage
