I'm rather glad to hear this, despite a lot of people suggesting the fusion of fantasy and comedy would be right up my street, I have shunned the idea, based solely on my experience with the game.
I might add a few of his works to my bog book queue, perhaps putting them on the Christmas list, now that I've exhausted the bibliographies of Robin Hobb and George R R Martin.
The DOS game was one of the first games I ever played, and I have a fond if cloudy memories of it :D
I've read Colour Of Magic and Mort, I thought they were pretty good, but I've read the entire Sam Vines series (Save for the new one) and they are some of my favorite books of all time.
almost everyone loves em. id recomend starting with thief of time(my personal fave) or men at arms(first one i read) if you decide you like em, read the rest in order cos the world developes through the series. or just start at the beginning. theyre all good.
