Something I just read about in the Dumpshock forums has given me the geek horn, so im now putting together the stats for it. As its just a mental excersize though, and even *I* am not evil enough to actually run this against you, I thought I would share the horrible goodness.
The idea is this: Massively cybered street sam (maybe even a cyborg), with a high level spirit possesing him, and a nasty AI sat in his comlink. Its about as deadly as you can get without using a great dragon: Kick ass at physical combat, protected from magic, and able to hax all your shit up. Additionally, because this essentially is three things inhabiting the same space, it would be able to act in all three (physcial, astral and matrix) at the same time. I shall make one, and post the stats up here to scare you all witless.
Of course, what in game reason there could be for such a monstrosity is probably not worth thinking about.
oooh, ive just thought...at a bit of HMHVV in there...

Dammit Aztech, we only wanted to have a looksee in your private research labs, you just needed to say no, not set the unholy bastard child of Deus/A queen insect/Ghost Walking Commando Shamen dude on us!
Luckily i can just sweet talk him into leaving me alone with my Pornomancer build. 51 social dice bitches!

I was tempted to one of those for my character in Petes game, but thought it a little cruel for a starting GM

Aztech is a nice idea though...make the spirit a Great Form Blood spirit...

Its actually a proper term in SR now, used by the devs and everythingDog Pants wrote:Pornomancer.

The idea is: Use various magical trickery to give yourself an insanely high dice pool (the 51 dice quoted isnt actually that hard to achieve with a starting character, if you want to), and then just charm the hell out of everyone. Guards? charm them to let you through. Assasination target? persuade them to off themselves. When you have that many social dice, you are like Jesse Custer. Your word is Law.

Pornomancers do break things and every bit of karma earned allows expansion for more dice until you get to the point you need a bucket full.
As does killing a very high level npc, then re-animating the corpse and getting a very high level spirit to manifest in it. I'm quite glad Pants didn't do this with the head priest from the mansion.

Im quite glad he didnt as well. That guy was hard enough to put down the first time around. If the summoning rolls were botched, and the high level spirit Pants put into him got free and angry....HereComesPete wrote:As does killing a very high level npc, then re-animating the corpse and getting a very high level spirit to manifest in it. Ok, ive given up making this things stats. Suffice to say its bloody silly. Frinstance, *all* of its attributes are double figures, and thats before ive put in its cyberwear bonuses. It has 4 IP's in physical space, as well as god knows how many in astral and Matrix. You essentially cant kill the AI untill you have killed the cyborg, and seeing as its a cyborg vampire with a horse 15 spirit in it..yeah, good luck with that. Even if you land a hit (against level 3 move-by-wire) and even if you get past the spirits armour spell, and then get past its implanted armour, it can still heal up a good amount of damage each combat turn, so you pretty much need to one shot kill it or your attacks do nothing.
The only downside I can see with this thing is that as its a cyborg, it has a low max essence, which means that as its a vampire it will need to feed extremely regularly compared to normal. But as it would take an elite corp strike team/thor shot to take the guy down, I cant imagine feeding being difficult.
