Scale Ankh-Morpork, there's source material that covers it all, no doubt there's a pdf of the maps floating about.

Possibly we should jst give it more time to throw ideas out there and put it to a vote.

I'm going to add never never land, battle royale, lord of the flies, beyond the mountains of madness and a flat atlas style rendition of planet Earth into the mix.

If I catch anyone doing that, they win instant banhammer for being worthless griefing cunts.

Traps once people are in the game is fine, but not on the spawnpoint.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure there will be. Lots of source for Discworld.

Yes, but the longer the server is up the more people will fuck with it and the longer we'll have to spend un-fucking it when we get a project.

I'm not seeing how most of those would differ greatly from a default map. The earth thing would be good, but it can be (and has been) done with a mod.

I think the hole was just me and Grimmie testing the server earlier. The default spawn point can be moved elsewhere.

I think the lack of moveable water is a feature of the server rather than a fault of the map. We could go back to the original server but that wont work with the ZOMG generated maps, I've tried.

The problem with the lack of water movement is that as soon as someone puts a block in it it looks shit because you end up with a hole. The new server already has a massive hole in the lake, which is now impossible to replace.

With this server you can protect your creations to a degree, but I've not completely worked it all out yet. You can certain stop random people from the Internet getting in and messing with stuff.

Certain ranks can spawn water and lava.

Well, I meant 5punkers really. People sat in a new map with nothing to do will mess about with it.

As interest seems to be waning I thought I'd tell you about the client wrapper I was using - http://www.worldofminecraft.com/Minecra ... r_Download

It's a hack, but it does nothing malicious. What it does do is gives you fullscreen, flying, better jumping and 2x or 5x movement speed. The noclip function doesn't work on standard servers. It's very useful for building, but kind of takes the fun out of exploring.

RO-BO project didn't do so well then I see. Either that or he trashed the place, pissed himself, and self destructed.

I think robo, existing only as two tracks and a few square walls, tried to excavate himself into existence and flooded the joint

You utter, utter cunts.

I have spent all night building a RO-BO head, a Goomba, an underground greenhouse (I don't know how it works, it just does) and an even more underground library type thing with an aquarium.

The underground stuff is below the cheese pyramid thing.

If you ever need a single sentence to sum up Minecraft, I think that's it.

I'm not sure we could manage that. Maybe if it was a 1x1 cube.

How about something that doesn't require a completely unified effort, as that doesn't seem to work? I was thinking 5punk Street or 5punk Town. It would be similar to our first map but could have some sort of ground level roads and everyone could work on their own buildings or in groups. Obviously it wouldn't be a normal street or town, how could it?
