12 dice: 4, 3, 2, 4, 4, 5, 5, 6, 6, 5, 5, 5: 7 hits, 19 initiative.

Does it look like we could kill all the bugs with shooting, or is it like spitting at the sea?

I'm thinking there's another solution to this other than shooting them. Some sort of AOE, or a massive slipper.

I'm going to hold on to Jon, wish like a motherwerder that I was out of here, and hope my ruby slippers can take a passenger.

Okies,

First off Lex leans forward and grips Jon, with a small inrush of air and a faint *pfffpt* noise they're gone.

**Roman and Pants, there is now a kid cradling an unconcious and bleeding man on the floor of the library next to you.**

The swarm is of course confused by this and momentarily halts, before regrouping and heading toward Alvrin.

**Roman and Pants, Phlegastus turns to look at Lex and Jon, then disappears in a faint clap of noise and...**

...Phlegastus appears next to Alvrin with a perplexed look on its face.

The swarm advances.

Lex points at jon.

Phlegastus leans over and touches Alvrin. A sense of acceleration later and you're back on the library floor with everyone else.

Up above in the darkness of the roof the swarm buzzes towards the carcasses of the creatures slain by Lex.

Bullet Tiem end.

Fuck, this combat has lasted so long I've utterly forgotten how to cast spells. I have spellcasting 2 and a fetish, and I'm planning on casting Stabilise. Bear with me...

Right, think I've got it. I don't know how badly injured he is, but I reckon a horse 5 should cover it. Even at 5 over I think he'd be looking a lot worse than that.

MAG 5 + Spellcasting 2 = 7

3, 3, 3, 1, 6, 3, 4: 1 hit.

Drain resist:

WIL 6 + CHA 7 + Fetish 2 = 15

2, 5, 2, 6, 1, 5, 1, 1, 1, 6, 1, 4, 1, 2, 1: 4 hits. Drain is the amount of overflow boxes Jon has -2.

Good enough. Jasper mutters and shakes a bunch of chicken feathers over Jon. Should hopefully stop him bleeding.

Right, not sure I remember how to do this so let me know if it goes wrong.

Casting Diagnose Rank 5 to start off with:

Magic (5) + Spellcasting (5) = 10

1,5,6,4,3,4,6,1,2,1 = 3

Drain Resist (horse divided by 2, not sure if you round up or down)

Intuition (5) + Willpower (3) = 8

3,5,3,2,6,1,4,6 = 3 (resisted either way)

Now I shall try to Heal him (rank 5), obviously concentrating on anything that Diagnose picked up:

Magic (5) + Spellcasting (5) + Specialisation (2) = 12

1,6,1,4,2,5,5,3,4,4,6,4 = 4

Drain Resist (horse minus 2)

Intuition (5) + Willpower (3) = 8

4,6,4,4,2,5,4,6 = 3

Does that look right? I always seem to cock this bit up.

Technically Firenza's healing shouldn't count given a set of injuries can only receive a single dose of majics. However, as you did the diagnose first I'll accept that you worked around the fact that Jasper merely stemmed the blood flow.

Jon does have quite a bit of cyberwear too, in the form of wired reflexes (that fab always forgets to activate) and other stuff, this reduces the effects of the healing.

Overall you've managed to pull him back from the brink, but he's still in need of some serious fixing.

Lets say - still unconscious but with no frothy blood on breathing and a non egg shelled skull.
