Well we can sit outside here all day pulling ideas out of our ass, but that corpse is going nowhere but the slab until we do something. Frank, Nik, either of your contacts able to whip up a passable wagon? N-Zo, reckon you could get us the right RFIDs? I'm thinking it's unlikely in the time we want, so do you want to start trying to get the body transfered and we can hit the wagon?

TSD - I realise the response centres are city wide, but each one covers a specific area right? If we make multiple false calls happen within their catchment we'll get the armed guards that move with the response teams out of the building. I realise it'll get your contact in the shit so it's probably not viable anyway.

After some pondering on the roof whilst watching the drones and cameras of the facility Frank gets back on the com -

Chopper, a few flaws in your idea but if we need someone inside I've got a docwagon band.

N-zo, can you do some searches on the woman and can you also do a search on the building itself. Pull up some stuff so if we do need to infiltrate we know staff levels, where the body is and what she looks like.

Leland, hows astral space looking? Do we have anything ghosty standing in the way?

Okay, I'm guessing we have the RFID tag Frequency, not the tag itself, otherwise they wouldn't need us and would have snatched her atthe same time.

So,

Loading Scan, analyse and browse progs, then scanning for that frequency to try pinpoint it in the building:

Electronic warfare (4) + Scan prog (6) + Booster (2) + Limbic Ware (3) = 15 dice

5, 5, 2, 6, 6, 6, 5, 3, 6, 5, 3, 1, 1, 5, 5: 10 hits. (thank you deej)

Then, Data search for a floorplan of the building

Data Search (4) + Browse (6) + Bonuses above (5) = 15

4, 2, 5, 4, 1, 5, 6, 3, 4, 5, 1, 1, 6, 4, 6: 6 hits.

Out and load Stealth, Track, spoof and analyse progs and go full VR and Hot Sim

I'll see if I can spot a spider or admin in the main open node: Analyse (6) + Computer (4) + Bonus (5) + hot sim (2) = 17

5, 4, 6, 6, 5, 5, 3, 1, 2, 1, 6, 3, 4, 1, 2, 4, 6: 7 hits.

Track him to his home node (extended test): Computer (4) Track (3) + Bonus/hot sim (7) = 14

2, 3, 5, 3, 2, 4, 1, 4, 6, 4, 4, 6, 6, 1: 4 hits.
5, 1, 5, 3, 2, 5, 4, 4, 3, 1, 3, 1, 1, 6: 4 hits.
1, 1, 6, 2, 4, 3, 2, 3, 3, 6, 1, 4, 6, 1: 3 hits. = 11, 10 needed (unless he has stealth running)

Spoof his access code (should be admin level)

Hacking (4) Spoof (3) Bonus + hotsim (7) = 14

1, 5, 2, 5, 6, 1, 5, 6, 5, 3, 1, 6, 3, 1: 7 hits.

Unload Stealth, Spoof, and track. Load Armour, Command, Biofeedback and attack (reducing comlink response to 3) and looking for the mortuary files.

Anyone else want to play a hacker? It used to be more complicated than this as well...

I think I mentioned to DP - would it be easier to pretend to be a cop in this situation, and create a spoof order for the body to be immediately removed from the facility for a classified reason - or is this where extaterritoriality comes in, and the cops can't do shit on DocWagon land?

Unless specifically requested by another Corp, the Star can't do squat. Most Corps have thier own security and such, calling on LoneStar to chase you once you are off thier terretory.

Chances are Lonestar are working with DocWagon on this, and the paperwork is being filed for the body to move.

If I can find how long we have, we can either snatch it from DocWagon under pretense, or grab it in transit.

btw, for the first part of above, you see N-zo look as though he is typing in mid air, then he goes and sits in Al's car and collapses.

There's no on site mage's that you can see, but there are two Beast spirits of about horse 6 patrolling astral space like guard dogs. There's nothing particularly special going on astrally other than that.

Correcto!
Loading Scan, analyse and browse progs, then scanning for that frequency to try pinpoint it in the building:

Its pinging as one floor below ground level, probably a morgue.
Then, Data search for a floorplan of the building

Data Search (4) + Browse (6) + Bonuses above (5) = 15

4, 2, 5, 4, 1, 5, 6, 3, 4, 5, 1, 1, 6, 4, 6: 6 hits.
You find floorplans! I'll upload them in a moment, so they dont get lost amidst all of this.

There's two users logged in with admin. You can only actually see one though.

1, 5, 2, 5, 6, 1, 5, 6, 5, 3, 1, 6, 3, 1: 7 hits.
All well and good, but you realise spoof only works for individual commands? You can use it like this, but every time you want to do anything within the node, you will have to roll to spoof again.
Unload Stealth, Spoof, and track. Load Armour, Command, Biofeedback and attack (reducing comlink response to 3) and looking for the mortuary files.
Need a browse roll. You can use the spoof above for this browse if you want, but you will then need another spoof, or hacking for an account, if you want to do anything to them when you find them.
Anyone else want to play a hacker? It used to be more complicated than this as well...
I used to play a hacker in 2nd ed. It made my brain hurt.

Ooh, pretty. Doesn't look so big, but I'd still rather make the body come to us.

Are there any windows in the building - specifically the side with the tree?

Possibly instead of jumping over the wall and finding angry spirits or drones with huge guns on Chopper could wait?

Well now I have his access code, I can keep spoofing with it I beleive, just needs a roll each time yes? I'm not going to try an on-the-fly hack until we get into the building. AA Corp IC will be evil.

Okay, Ill load a browse prog, as it won't reduce my response until I hit 7 programmes running anyway.

So Data Search (4) + Browse (6) + Bonuses/hot sim (7) = 17

3, 6, 4, 5, 1, 4, 6, 6, 2, 1, 1, 5, 6, 6, 3, 2, 2: 7 hits.

And I'll ping the floorplans to the screens in both Al's and Nik's vehicles, highlighting the body location.

Was it 2nd or 3rd ed when playing a Decker meant you needed to have a full understanding of advanced maths and a scientific calculator to build your deck?

I'd rather not repeat the same thing that happened last time we had to deal with spirits. I can try, but taking out two fairly tough spirits just doesn't appeal to me. If there is a way to con our way in that'd be better, or hijacking in transit. Whichever is better.
I don't suppose their patrol patterns are predictable to attempt sneaking past?

I doubt the spirits will smash us unless we get tagged as hostile. We've got plenty of ways to get in before resorting to smash and grab tictacs.

Out of interest, who has docwagon bands other than moi?
Frank wrote:If we can do this without any hijack or fight then that's what we've got to try. As much as I love a good ruck, hitting a Docwagon site is going to get us fucked up sharpish with the resources they can call on.

I'll pull up ~2km away and find somewhere suitable for my Kull to take off from, when it's in the air I'll have it head over to the general vicinity of the others and orbit loosely around the facility.

Righto, you find the files, sort of. The autopsy hasn't happened yet, so nothing is filed away. However, it is due to happen any time now, and the records that are there show that autopsy reports are made on the examiners comlink first, then copied into the main node once they are complete.
Was it 2nd or 3rd ed when playing a Decker meant you needed to have a full understanding of advanced maths and a scientific calculator to build your deck?
2nd, with the Matrix 2.0 sourcebook. Im getting flashbacks just thinking about it.

deject wrote: I don't suppose their patrol patterns are predictable to attempt sneaking past?
Sort of. Although they are not going in a pattern as such, one is mostly hanging around the gates whilst the other is wandering around the perimeter. Neither are going further into the site than that.
pete wrote:Anything new happening on the site Joose?
Not particularly.
