Still keeps logging me out for some reason. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. I have no idea why.Stoat wrote:Holy server upgrade, Batman!
Dreamhost have updated the database software to run on something written this century. It should be a bit faster. If you notice any errors please let me know!

Troubleshooting spontaneous logouts
I need more information to go on about this. Browser, OS etc.Sheriff Fatman wrote:Still keeps logging me out for some reason. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. I have no idea why.
We know that omitting www from the address causes cookie loss. Some employers likely have automated system cleanups that could destroy the cookie.
Some don't allow cookies at all and you'll be relying on session ids, support for which is patchy.
If you can, when you next get logged out please check the response headers (try Firebug). Without more details there's not much I can do. But please do let me know when it happens- if it's happening at specific times, or if it happens to everyone at once it can be narrowed down.

XP, Foxy 3.6. Fresh install as of yesterday.
It *seems*to happen more frequently when I have torrents sappin' ma bandwidth but, as I have been unable to recreate it, I can't really say whether or not that's a factor.
I've installed Firebug. You'll have to let me know what you are looking for tho' - I know nothing of your coding witchcraft

This happens to me a lot on 5punk, never happened on another forum that I can recall. If it takes more then a few seconds to load the front page I can forget about viewing posts since my last visit. It'll show me as logged in on the opening page, but as soon as I clicky the forum button I'm logged out.
This is on Fista, Foxy 3.6, and with uTorrent eating all my bandwidth. I just wait to log in now.
