I think I'll be reinstalling then.
I don't really have any hate for any one map, I'm bad at all of them :D

Pretty much every map you've picked there has opposing sniper perches, towers or long streets and a lot of them have ghillie suits.

Noticed we were missing the four maps that came with 1.6, added them all.

Creek is shit, though in 5punky hands it could be OK. Chinatown and Broadcast are great though.

Creek is shit, and I hate it, but I'd like to get a few weeks with a full mapcycle, then prune a little where needed.

This is as good a place as any to say this, and I'll probably get shot down in flames, but there seemed to be a lot of smack last night. Not entirely sure how much was 5punkers and how much was randoms, but it's worth bearing in mind that what might sound like banter on TS can seem like smacktalk in chat. Same goes for harrassing randoms and kicking them - doing it with no explanation just makes us look like cunts.

What he said.

More to the point, I don't want to spend time not playing, trying to explain to 2 retards that their playing style (leapy with occasional tubes) and remarkably high levels of teamkilling go against the 5punky thing and the posted rules, that are quite clear, what with being magenta.

Nor do I want to have to have to kick/ban them, but it's a far faster process that hurts our game far less than 2 players who we're never going to see again whether they're banned or not.

If you want to be on teamspeak, listen to the complaints, deal with 2 random 12 year olds, then piss about explaining the rules, watching them more, and then realising they're probably just pricks and banning them, you're welcome to.

But changing your name and smacktalking them is less effort? I'm not saying you have to mollycoddle people who are clearly tards, but by telling them why you're going to kick them you shows everyone else on the server that you're not just being a cupcake. I'd love to do it myself, but without being on TS I don't know what peoples' problems are. Same as the randoms who aren't on TS either.

Of course I can come on TS on a tuesday night and you can all listen to Sprog crying, the TV, and Mrs Pants shouting at me if that's a better solution. Or I could stop making observations that might make this a nicer place in case I upset anyone.

Hugs for Pants, as he's right.

I did miss last nights game due to being in a pub, so I don't know what happened, but normally Berk is pretty business like with his dealings with tards. Warnings then kick. Don't normally see any smacktalk.

That's kind of what I mean, what sounds like normal banter on TS can sound like smack to those who aren't. For a while I thought Amblin was a random until he said something about me being married, then I realised he was a 5punker. I'm guilty of it when I'm on TS too, but unless someone points it out we don't know. Maybe that's fine, it's not my server, but if we want decent randoms to hang around and maybe even come and visit the site then we need to appear to be friendly.

Nobody here's a cupcake, at least not on purpose. And when randoms get harrassed they more often than not deserve it. But like I also said up there somewhere, if other randoms don't know why we're being dicks to people then they'll probably assume it's because we're dicks.

Why not? it's a bit more frustrating than other maps, and needs a slightly different playing style (that is, use cover) but there's nothing wrong with it.

Sorry, it's not a criticism, just an inquiry.

I just remembered running around Countdown a lot more than I'd expected to, but I also think that's because we hadn't hit that point of the cycle whilst I'd been playing in a long time so I thought you'd already been at the map cycle.

Map cycle had the 4 bonus maps added last week, and it's 15 minutes/1250 points, which seems a good number.

Yeah, I much preferred the 15 min timer over the 20 min. Seemed to work nicely for me.
