Got Hellboy 2 last year with Hellboy. I've watched the first one but haven't got around to the second yet. I really should watch more of my films.

Go buy Jurassic Park pants, it's a really good film.

And what ever you do, do not try and satisfy any curiousity about Crystal Skull. It's rather bad. I'm not quite sure how the script got ok'd, it's obviously bad.

Note to Berk. Put popcorn in the microwave and DVD's in the DVD player - not the other way around :)
Unless it is High Definition popcorn on Blue-Ray I suppose...

(I must be old and senile, I didn't mind Crystal Skull, although weaker than Lost Ark and Last Crusade , I didn't think it was as bad as Temple of Doom and certainly not the worst film ever)

Did that with a Norton Security CD just a few days ago... Proof there is something worse than Crystal Skull on optical media!

Seriously, they should have just stopped after the first one...

And in other horrific news:

Golden Globes: Avatar triumphs at awards ceremony

-best film drama and best director

The Last Crusade was my favorite out of all the Indy films. And I'll agree that Crystal Skull was much better the the Temple of Doom.

Outta the top 50 to me the only one that doesn't belong there is New Moon. I'll watch every movie on that list but New Moon, that would have to be Clockwork Orange style with my eyes stuck open and someone watering them while I'm strapped to a chair and injected with drugs to make me not sick.

That's pretty faaabulous, but I couldn't suggest a decent alternative. These awards are just industry circlejerks anyway, so I never care about the results.

Looking at the other nominations, they split between "never heard of it" and "thought it was shit". Although im not as vehemently against Avatar as some people here, I certainly don't think its AWESOME, but I would still vote it best out of that lot.

EDIT: Also, does it seem to anyone else that the media seems to be making this globes thing bigger than it really is? It won two. Up won the same amount. The way the news is going on, you would think Avatar won all of the ruddy things, including the ones its not eligible for.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) is an organization composed of journalists who cover the United States film industry, but are affiliated with publications outside of the United States. The group is best known for the Golden Globe Awards, of which it is the creator and on-going organizer.

The New York Times reported that the HFPA "functions like an exclusive club, admitting a maximum of five new members a year, though more often...accepting only one. Any single member may object to a new member, making it extremely difficult to join. The association does not represent internationally renowned publications like Le Monde or The Times of London—indeed, it has repeatedly rejected applications from Sue Kim, a Le Monde correspondent, while accepting applications from freelance writers from Bangladesh and South Korea".

^ This. The Golden Globes suck because they're less to do with the industry than my sock drawer. They're a bunch of academics with vague media qualifications more often than not.

And like all academics they think Blade Runner was the most epic film just below Casablanca. It's barely representative of the industry at all with less than a 120 members and lacking technical knowledge to back it up.
