Teamspack 3

Post by Dr. kitteny berk »

Right, the time has come. I'm retiring our old teamspeak server.

The TS3 betas seem more than stable enough to warrant changing over, and offer a pile of improvements. So there.

Anyway, useful stuff GO!

Download TS3 from <a href="http://teamspeak.com/?page=downloads">Here</a>

Code: Select all

Address:85.236.100.27
Port:10167
Password:6667
Basic setup is a lot easier than TS2, it holds your hand through most of it.

How To Connect

Handy addition to TS3 is the bookmarks menu, makes it quicker and easier to join servers.

For those who don't use Push To Talk, we probably want you to have a mute button, so we don't hear your 2 hour long calls to your gran, or you wanking.

Eh. Oddly, I prefer the more rough and ready feel of 2 and the lack of wizard.

I like it.
It makes it feel like I'm in the room with you.

Yep, but giving people admin rights is very different at the moment, has to be done in teamspeak.

Also, does it go horribly crackly and make everyone devolve into android noises for anyone else?

I get crackly breaking up but i put it down to sky isp shitness.

Thinking of ripping the wireless card and trying an audigy 6. might help.

Updated the server, you'll need to update to beta11 to connect, probably.

After having used it for a while, Vent is shit. It's horribly obtuse to set up. The sound quality is good, but it isn't any better than TS3.

version 9913 whatever the fuck it's on now is out. It's changing every few days at the moment. Handily there's an auto-update feature.
