Umm, we did some underage drinking and home-made firework display involving 200 bargain* sparklers and deoderant cans. A couple of my friends were nursing something-degree burns for the rest of the night, so we chucked someone in a skip.

* Defective --> Don't have a big handle=More hand burning, especially if you light them all at once in one hand :?

Thats about right. Most of the Carnival Clubs are affiliated to the local pubs. So theres a hell of a lot of em.

Ah, they'll be banning those, then. There was some MP woman on the radio on the way back from our do saying how she liked the "beautiful pretty ones" but didn't like the nasty BANG! BANG! BANG! ones. Hope no-one sets off any genies(1) near her house.

As a yoof I was always much more impressed by the loudest fireworks, and still have to say that while the silver-and-gold sparkly modern ones are very nice, it's still the ones that sound like artillery shells the get the most thumbs up.

(1) Possibly local, and probably archaic parlance for very loud, dangerous constructions of bangers and sellotape.

When I'm old and rich, I'm going to make a house out of bubble wrap. You're welcome to the loft room?
