New Single Player Game of the Year 2009

Post by Dog Pants »

Post your nominations here for the New SP Game of the Year award 2009. This new award is being trialled to see if there are enough potential candidates for an award. It should be awarded to the single player game released this year which has held the most interest for 5punkers. They can put it on the back of their game box if they like.

Polls will be added to reflect nominations in the new year.

Dragon Age has racked up an astounding amount of time for a single player game for me, but I was surprised to see on Xfire Blood Bowl just below it. So, despite the fact that there's only two of us really play it, I'm nominating that. An honourable mention also needs to go to Plants Vs Zombies I think.

Yup, Dragon Age. The only game where I never felt like stopping, even if it was 3 AM.
On console I'd nominate Uncharted 2 and Brütal Legend, both excellent games.

Dragon Age is easily my nomination. I've barely played anything else since release. 122 hours so far, including an aborted warrior run. Although I am starting to get sick of it now and want it to end.

I thought The Last Remnant was a good jrpg but it comes in 2nd to Dragon Age: Opium. Plants Vs. Zombies was good but I put alot more hours into Defense Grid. Now PvZ wins the "cute song that gets stuck in your head till you need a sledgehammer to get it out" award.

I would say Dragon Age...but I've almost finished everything I can do in it now. Football Manager 2010 I'll be playing all next year as well, however.

Yes, my vote has gone to Dragon Age - superb game and very easy to lose track of time with.

Batman is a glaring omission, which I should have nominated. But I don't suppose it'd get many votes due to few people here having played it.
