It may well be a simple obfuscation we can undo, but the fact it's there suggests they don't want people harvesting their results.
Think outside the box mate, instead of asking for community page ID, we could ask for steam achievement page ID (the one after the url bit). :P

I'll see your box and I'll think outside it. Steam community pages can be output as XML. I think I can wrangle a Yahoo Pipe to output a list of your achievements just from your Steam ID.

I just thought of something else, it might have been discussed before but I probably missed that conversation.
What if we are to give a special, custom rank (like Grimmie) when you are a member for a certain number of years, kind of like a badge of merit. It could be for any kind of personality trait or something you did that we will all remember for years to come.
Another idea would be to offer an alternative to being SNPG'd*, but in a good way, like giving Roman an Elvis Duck icon for a week or so after a particularly funny round of COD.

And back on the topic of the 5punk awards, maybe the winners could have their award displayed somewhere on their profile or similar for a whole year, so that you can actually show off your award.

*I can never remember the full title so I probably abbreviated it wrong. abbreviated may not even be a word.

It has been vaguely discussed before, ages ago. It's certainly possible because we already have custom icons - hell, even I can do that and I'm a spaz. It might be a bit of an admin burden though fiddling about with lots of custom ranks, depending on how often they change. Also, I don't know whether we ever did away with it or if it's still going, but custom ranks were once handed out for people who donated.
However, it might be nice to have custom achievements if that goes ahead. Like a sitting on your own bollocks achievement. And achievements for membership time is a great idea.

As for awards, or maybe even your last (few?) achievements, could they be displayed next to your rank icon? I don't want to delve too far into possiblities because it won't be me doing the work. It'll be Stoat :)

Not sure it's quite in the category of annual awards, but at work we're all intending to take part in Movember next year, and I think all 5punkers should do it too, with some kind of award for the best 'tache.

Would somebody (Grimmie probably, but others feel free to contribute) please be so good as to create this year's awards? If nobody has the time I'll chuck something up in Potatoshop, although anyone who's seen my previous awards will know that 'chuck up' is rather apt.

Thank you!

Was waiting to see what awards were chosen, I'll have a go when I get home unless anyone else wants to?
