Chimps - Perks

Post by Dog Pants »

Perks are the new badgers, but in Chimps you can use them to buy stuff. They give you titles too, which is always nice. Some can only be got at a certain time though, and can be missed. Below is a list of potentially missable perks. Feel free to add tips on getting any others that might be tricky.

Ceiling Cat - Go to the top of the cage in the level 11-20 PvP arena. You have to get right in the middle, sitting on the edge will not work. This cannot be achieved after level 20.

Red Bug Down - Stand right on top of the crashed Qulaar ship at the beginning of the tutorial. Only achievable during the tutorial instance.

Save the City - Complete the eight side missions in the tutorial;
  • *Student Buddies - Escort a girl back to the starting area from directly behind the building where you look for the mayor's documents.

*Prescription Retention - Pick up from the police chief, collect medical supplies from defeated Qulaar.

*Civilians Distressed - Pick up from the police chief, rescue civilians who are recieving nastly looks from groups of Qulaar inbetween the first and second safe areas.

*Urbanites Incapacitated - Pick up by being in the area where you rescue civilians. Complete by destroying the rubble holding civilians down.

*Vacation Salvation - Picked up from the bloke in the fishing hat, Griswold (National Lampoon's Alien Invasion Holiday?). Find his suitcase, tickets and passport just east of the second safe zone.

*Right Off The Bat - Help Foxbat out from under some rubble and follow him to his box o' guns nearby. Found where the trapped civilians are, behind the fence.

*Cat-astrophe - Picked up from a cat carrier in one of the alleys near the rescue civilians bit. Take it back to an old woman in the third safe area.

*Speed In Need - Rescue Kinetic from a cage, found just north of the third safe area, in the middle of some buildings. Can be picked up from the area of the cage or by a police car near the hologram of Silverback.
We Are The Champions - Talk to each of the Champions. All but one will be spoken to in due course of completing the tutorial. Speak to Sapphire in the first safe zone before you leave.

Each of the starting zones (Desert, Canada) have a set of perks. These can all be got with a little dodgy fiddling and swapping between the two zones. More to come later.

http://www.champions-online-wiki.com/wi ... able_Perks is useful but doesn't give any advice on how to get them.

Going to the top of each building in ren gives you 'top of the world', you have to walk on them, flying over doesn't work.

You can get one by staring at the floaty billboards too, not sure exactly how so I spent ages floating around them and got 4/5 looked at, gave up after half an hour.

Canada, top of the tower by the gadroon there's two aliens directing horses, knock them off, get badger.

Hole in great bear lake, dive in, get badger.

Follow argent pipeline from start to finish, get badger.

I've got lots, can't remember a lot of them though.

When you go on top of the left (from your point of view) giant statue above the prison in the southwest desert, there is a floating hat that gives you a badge.

'Riders in the sky'. It should play some honky tonk piano music when you get it. In fact I want honky tonk piano music and haunting harmonica music every second I'm in the desert.
