Good point.
Well to be honest I've been a little distracted with the rest of the site, and stuck this on the backburner.
As mentioned above, I think we really need a bigger/open-air map, and then work can get done on 3d rendering some mushrooms/snakes to include in the video.
Without the map done, we're kind of stuck, as we have no real way of testing it out.
Plus, somebody with a fast "up speed" will need to host a private server in order to use it for making the vid', but we can test it out with just a few of us on our normal broadband connections.
I'm sure I've already mentioned it, but Weebl has given it the okay, so we can pretty much use what we want when it comes to sound etc...

Do we really need someone with a good up speed? OK, so all the people connecting would be laggy as hell, but its not like we are actually having a game here. As long as the person hosting was the person recording the video, the lag wouldnt matter, would it?
Or would it be "The Lag Of Death", causing the end of humanity?

That would probably work, as there is no need to look up during the making of the video.StickFigureNinja wrote:I spose I could always make it taller so you don't actually see it. without looking up.[/list]
If anything, it will have to be from above
Do you have any screenshots of it, I'm bored at work, and need something too look at :D

Okay, a decision is needed, do we use the "realistic" badger skin, or the "cartoon" badger skin.
The difference being that one has lots of textures etc, and the other one is just black and white.
To be honest I forgot there are two styles to the badger skin.
Oh yeah, I've tested out the map, and I think it will be fine for the making the video.
Thanks stickfigureninja :D

Okay then, here's the deal, I have put the v3 badger map made by stickfigure ninja into my C:\UT2004\MAPS directory.
I can see this map when playing an instant action game, as it appears in the list.
However, when trying to host a server, the map does not appear in the list for any game type i.e DM, TDM, Assault etc.
I have made sure the "Only use official maps" option has been unticked, but it still doesn't appear in the list :
Also, how do I get to play in the server I'm hosting, as it just minimizes the game and runs in my system tray.
I'm obviously "out of my depth" here, and some help in hosting a server with the badger map is needed. Any ideas anyone???
