I am in the rare situation that I may have Bash dates for next year already.
- How far in advance would you need such dates before you would be able to save and come over to Birmingham?
(Airports: Birmingham BHX / London LHR)
- How much would said travel cost, booking this far in advance?
- What is the minimum amount of time you would need to spend in England for it to be cost effective?
(ie. 2 day bash ala the originals / 3 day bash ala Jockbash / 4 day bash ala Proflan)

Ideally I would need to start saving up about 6 months in advance, though I wouldn't necessarily need to have a solid date, just a rough time period until about a month or so beforehand.
As for cost, a quick check puts a ticket at around $1000 or so whichh is quite a lot but should be doable. I've been wanting to go to the UK anyways, so I might be able to combine this with a vacation type thing anyways.

I wouldn't necessarily say that I'd need it far in advance, I'd just need to know soon enough to book a ticket. Like Deject said, the cost for a ticket is around $1000, which is a lot. For me, I'm looking at getting a house and few other things, so I can't just plop that kind of money down readily at this moment.
I'd love to come over and hang out, and as far as duration goes, I'd be nice to stay for the entire bash, but I wouldn't want to impose on anyone.
EDIT: Actually, now that I think about it... I'd like to have enough advance warning to grow out a nice beard for 5punky events.

I'd say 6 months, I'm in a situation where saving money for such things is a long process. I'd definitely like to go to a bash next year, but cannot do so before summer.
Well, travel costs look promising: It would appear that a last minute fare would be 107 pounds and that's just the way there. Now, in 6 months advance there are plane tickets for just 15 pounds per ride to Gatwick airport, as opposed to 69 pounds for a ride to Heathrow, definitely not worth it. There are absolutely no flights to Birmingham from over here.
Cost effectiveness is not a problem at all, 2, 3, 4 days are all good as long as I have some way from/to London.
